The revolver is for anyone/anything getting too close. The other weapon is like an automated grenade launcher, lethal to the wielder if the guy is in the same room. I like the idea of two guns.
I've got him done all the way to adding some spikes, a few purity seals and making my own mind up for the revolver vs. sword dilemma. I really like both - the short sword from GK Termies look ace on him too - really work with his physique and "butcher look. Pics first thing tomorrow morning.

There is an attitude that not having an insanely optimized, one shot, six stage, omnidirectional, inevitable, mousetrap of an assassin list army somehow means that you have foolishly wasted your life building 500 points of pure, 24 karat, hand rolled, fine, cuban fail. That attitude has been shown, under laboratory conditions, to cause cancer of the fun gland.

Wow, he's looking fantastic so far. Given that he's already got a pistol on his belt, giving him a revolver might be a bit OTT.
How about giving him some binoculars instead? He looks like he's just finished surveying whatever he's shot

Thanks. Thanks also for the kind offer for the revolver! I think I will try to custom build one.
Binoculars imply distance, revolver/sword implies up close and personal and that fits this gang/=I=munda setting better.

That part is from Japanese Gundam kits. I did a crazy tyranid army earlier (from Gundam kits):

I vote for the sword. I haven't seen either, of course, but the way the rest of the figure is balanced and the way his right arm is posed... I'd say sword. With a sword in mind, he gives me the impression of having just annihilated most of a unit of GKs or something and is staring the remaining 1 or 2 GKs down. Besides, he's got his pistol holstered. Great work Migs, and good luck getting him finished before the move. I hope the move goes smoothly. ps: wow, I see what you mean about the red range! That's a much better pic of it. I can't wait to see what it really looks like.

The weaponsmith is going to turn out to be yet another great model, so it looks like.
Although calling it (or your other work) just "models" feels somehow inadequate, for the personas they portray are far bigger than 28mm.
Give the big guy a big naval revolver, a weaponsmith can never have to much firepower.
The revolver of the old Gorma Morka death kopta pilot seems to fit the bill.
Your work and that of others here on dakka's -I- community, especially the 'pimp my wizard' thread, got me buying my first models since 6 years or so to finish the inquisitor warband i started to convert (but never finished) when the Witchhunter codex came out.
The major parts of my warband is done (or has been for years i grudgedly admit), just got to work up the nerve to start with some green stuff work and the painting
Keep up the good work.

I love the head on the weapon smith and your choice for the weapon. I am not the biggest fan on leaving so many of the rotting skin and stuff but overall cool piece migs.

Listen, my children, as I pass onto you the truth behind Willy Wonka and his factory. For every wonka bar ever created in existance, Mr. Wonka sacraficed a single Oompa Loompa to the god of chocolate, Hearshys. Then, he drank the blood of the fallen orange men because he fed them a constant supply of sugary chocolate so they all became diabetic and had creamy, sweet-tasting blood that willy could put into each and every Wonka bar. That is the REAL story behind willy wonka's Slaughter House! |

Borsus is primed. I talked with PDH about the models (he's done an awesome conversion too) and we both feel genuinely giddy about these conversions. It is simply such a great model to work on.
With the primer on, the whole conversion just becomes a model of it's own already. Not just an assortment of bits.
