Had a couple of metal minis, a few of the monkeyrats, and lots of weapons, arms, banners, etc. Got the Island of Blood Warlock Engineer for £1.49, and 10 40mm bases for £1. Postage on top, I still felt like they were worthwhile purchases.
So, yeah. I'm not saying the guy doesn't list things for stupid money, but he does some okay deals, too. I'm happy with what I got. Sounds like he's someone to avoid if I want older minis, though.
If you buy 'new' from TrollTrader they are usually pretty good deals. I got one of the MAS District-5 apartment blocks, and they were £20, which is as far as I know the cheapest in the UK. Like you say though, beware the older OOP stuff (although to be fair, they are generally very highly priced on ebay these days).
I've bought from their site before, and they usually ship pretty fast (free internationally, too!) and offer good service. That's just for small bits and hobby supplies, though.
Maybe for all the OOP stuff and bitz, they're more or less just reselling them secondhand and can't really be guarantee their condition or veracity? Just my two cents.

My guess is he wants people to make offers rather than use buy it now. Probably because he thinks that's the way to maximize profits. (afraid to put too low a price on the buy it now, yet also afraid he'll have to sell them for $0.99 in a fluke auction)

That one has been listed for a long time now. I saw it a year or two ago - same picture, same seller. Shame they haven't reduced the price over the time though... Would love to add him to my collection for the right price...
As for interesting listings...

Pro-painted, really? Did he mean part-painted instead? How can this be pro-painted....

I did that about 10 years ago, when I was quit a bit younger and thought my models looked amazing. (Now I'm fully aware they're awful compared to everything on CMON, etc)
Never had any complaints either.

Then perhaps your technique still rings true despite the size / details of the photo.
A good example ... if you can imagine a whole army that is dry brushed.
From far away + proper lighting + small picture, they might look as smooth as airbrush.
that is if you dont look closer.

To be fair, he did revise it and tell people not to buy-maybe ebay was going to charge him to change the price/take it down early? He's just gonna let it run the clock. He probably meant 9.99. For 12, that's not such a bad price, either.
It would be funny if someone bought it.

Well yea, if most people compare their work to the gak on CMON, it would fall pretty damn short, doesnt mean you didnt do a good job man.

I reckon he has put the price up so he can afford the ad, How many pictures does one actually need ?
I count 19 there, all on there twice as well, after he has had that on there a few months he will have paid more than the thing is worth just on his ebay ad lol

Those pictures don't cost him anything. They are not hosted by ebay. That's why they are all in his item description instead of in the ebay pic gallery for the listing. The seller is just off his nut.

I've got a sneaking suspicion that this sort of stunt is intended to have people mail in questions which he then uses to form a spam list for his B&M store. At least that's the only thing I could come up with that makes any sense.
Edit: Nevermind. I just looked at the rest of the stuff he's trying to sell. I'm going with bats##t crazy as the reason.

Aye but there are still twelve pictures in the description has has paid for, thats twelve different pictures of a box hahaha,
The paying for his ad thing was a joke, though im still quite amused that he felt the need to photo the box from so many different angles, your definately right about being off his nut !!

Ok so you are right, smartarse.

He's probably just a guy who got a hold of these things, found out what MSRP is and discovered that the "box" is OOP and went nuts, thinking he'd discovered a gold mine.
Experiment time: I messaged him through ebay and educated him on what he had, the MSRP, and a link to the CURRENT box. Let's see if anything changes.

Suppose I should post my 'find' up here. Searching Ebay recently for some Blood Bowl teams and came across this chap:

Just an example of what he is selling - pretty much the entire range of BB teams but for about £10 more than what GW themselves sell them for....
