We have been beavering away on the Judge Dredd miniatures game and Block War today. Most notably, we now have working rules for BIG battles in Dredd and, better than that, specific scenarios to handle Block Wars (up to three players, with a normal force caught between two rival blocks!), last stands in the Cursed Earth, and the Zombie Apocalypse!
We are doing a few more updates to Block War, but you will see all of these a little later in the week.
Second, we have added a new pledge level - Troggie! This is a $4 pledge, but gives you any one model of your choice from the current Judge Dredd range, so you can round out your collection. You can see the list of available models at;
http://www.mongoosepublishing.com/pdf/jdsingles.pdf
You can, of course, pledge for more than one model, or add to your existing pledge if there are specific models you are after - simply add $4 for each extra model!
Finally, we have added the Weapon Packs to various pledge levels - these are collections of 4-6 weapons from the game that you can snip off and add to existing models, allowing you to customise them as you see fit. Street Judges will get one random weapon pack, Wally Squads and Council of Judges three, and Sector Chiefs and Chief Judges five - no stretch goals to meet, we just wanted to add these as a token of our appreciation for your support thus far!

Alright. I'm in.
I have to admit that the movie was much, much better than I thought it was going to be. And Mongoose looks like it has its act together.
But first I just need to get a few answers to burning questions. Mongoose Matt, a PM is heading your way.

We are so tantalisingly close to seeing the ultimate Lawbreakers stretch goal added to Mega-City One!
Just a quick update today.
The Block War supplement itself has been updated, with new rules and scenarios covering what the supplement is really all about - Block Wars!
Actually, the rules for Mobs we have added can be used in a whole range of games, from your normal campaign battles (if you have enough Minions), to last stands in the Cursed Earth, brave defences against hordes of zombies and, well, block wars! In fact, if you really want to go mad, we have made provision for two blocks to go at one another, with another force (we suggest judges!) caught in the middle.
Good luck with that one!
You can download the latest version of Block War from;
http://www.mongoosepublishing.com/miniatures/judge-dredd/rulebook.html Automatically Appended Next Post: Got some Victory at Sea news as well...
We are very proud to be able to show off the first of the new 1/1800 Victory at Sea ships – HMS Exeter!
These models are the product of Sandrine Thirache, who has been toiling for more than 18 months now, researching the warships of World War II (with the ever-present help of our Official Naval Boffins), locating accurate deck plans, and then using all of that to build lovely 3D models of each vessel.
We are just beginning to ramp up production of the Victory at Sea line, though if you are attending SELWG this month, we will likely have a small number of Exeters, Achilles, and Graf Spees waiting for you. More ships are being prototyped right now, and it will not be long before you can have a full-raging sea battle between these great looking ships.

The images for Victory at Sea stuff, are pretty small,
and you can't enlarge them by clickig on them
probably worth making them larger (or at least letting us click through to larger versions)
as it's hard to apreciate the detail you're describing and if you're selling them on detail/accuracy we need a better look

Mongoose has recently changed the rates charged for shipping mail orders. It should now be both simpler and cheaper for all customers.
UK Orders
UK addresses will have a flat rate of £4 applied to all orders, with free shipping provided on orders over £100.
US Orders
US addresses will have a flat rate of $8 applied to all orders, with free shipping provided on orders over $150.
Rest of the World
Addresses for any other countries will have a flat rate of £8 applied to all orders. No free shipping for overseas orders as yet, but we are working on it!

We are now in the last few days of the Judge Dredd: Block War Kickstarter - thank you for all your support thus far.
There are a few goodies to be revealed this week, as we have been busy beavering away on the new models this month, and first to be unveiled are the boys from the Citi- Def Squad.
Sculptor Stepehn May (the gentleman behind the recent Brit-Cit Judges) has worked on these eight models, which form a new force in the Judge Dredd miniatures game (you can see them already in the Block War supplement) and a forthcoming box set. Those pledging for this Kickstarter will be the first to get their hands on them (along with a lot of other models!).
The set contains two Citi- Def Soldiers, armed with Spit Guns - these are real Judge-killers, but players will soon find these part-time soldiers do not really know the meaning of 'cease fire!' For that, you will be needing a Citi- Def Officer, to the right of the two soldiers, a citizen of Mega-City One whose tactics revolve primarily around shouting! Next to him, the soldier with the Missile Launcher tends to be a bit more disciplined, but then we move to the bottom row and the complete opposite - the Citi- Def Soldier on the far left has watched way too many action vids, and is blazing away with a Spit Pistol in each hand!
Next to him is the Jaeger Squad Commando, a truly dedicated member of the Citi- Def, who is either incredibly skilled and well-trained, or just plain crazy. It all depends on your point of view.
The Medic is a useful chap, though he does not really appreciate all the heavy weaponry he is surrounded by. This model shows him under fire, wondering just why he signed up for the Citi- Def as an alternative to boredom! Finally, we have the second Heavy Weapons Soldier, armed here with a Laser Cannon but coming with the option of a Heavy Spit Gun.
All are ready to defend Mega-City One (or just their own block) against an attacker, and all are capable of doing far more damage to the city than any invading force...
You can still get involved with the Judge Dredd: Block War Kickstarter at http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1990654819/judge-dredd-miniatures-game-block-war

Okay, we have some very good news for you today.
Below, you will see a montage of various Works in Progress from the desk of Shane Hoyle.
Those of you who have been collecting the Judge Dredd miniatures range for a while will have no need of introduction for Shane Hoyle (Mr Shane Hoyle, once you get to see his work up close). He is the gentleman responsible for the Ape Gang, Judges Dekker, Inaba, Caligula, and many others in the range. 2000AD stories fill his soul, and this becomes very apparent once you see his work - his models just ooze the spirit of the comic strips.
Anyway, our Sov spies infiltrated his hidden bunker and have not only reported that he will be working on several new 2000AD projects with us, but that some are already in advanced states of completion - and pictures have been taken!
Many Sov spies died to bring us this information...
Anyway, on to the models! Going from left to right, top to bottom, the first is going to be a favourite for many - Judge Death himself, joined by Judge Mortis. The other Dark Judges are also in progress, and these guys are destined to be a force to reckon with on the tabletop!
Next to them is, of course, Nemesis the Warlock (with Grobbendonk). Now, this doesn't actually have anything to do with this Kickstarter, but we thought that, even as a Work in Progress, this was such a lovely model, we just had to show you! We are pleading with Shane to finish this one so we can get it to all of you, but it is likely to be a while. Consider this a cruel tease!
On the bottom row, we have a brand new Klegg in the offing, with a choice of head, so you can start to get your own alien invasion horde together. Next to him, a new street judge that will be another that can take a variety of weapons - more information on what those will be at a later date. Regretfully, while Judge Death and his cohorts are part of this Kickstarter, these two models will not be (there is only so much time to get these prepped and done, and the priority is for the stretch goals you chaps have already passed!). However, there will be plenty of opportunities to get your hands on them at a later date.
Do not be too depressed about that though - last up is a picture of a fully painted Walter the Wobot, who will be coming to a great many of you as part of your pledge rewards! This is actually not a Shane model, but it seemed a shame not to squeeze him in. Modelled in 3D by Sandrine Thirache (she behind the Manta Prowl Tank and Pat Wagons), it has been given the master touch by Ari Nielsson.

Less than three days to go for the Judge Dredd: Block War Kickstarter to complete, and we have been fairly overwhelmed by all the kind support you guys have shown for these miniatures. As you will have seen earlier today, we have been busy in the background, beavering away on the first of these new models, and the Citi-Def are complete, the Zombie Horde will be with us soon, and the Dark Judges are well on their way!
Just wanted to stop by and introduce another stretch goal, as we are veering very close to seeing the Mechanismo robots walk the streets of Mega-City One. This time, it focusses on another angle of the game we wanted to introduce in the Block War supplement, the Roadway Duel! This will see full rules for the Megway, where forces clamber on board vehicles and take the fight up to speeds well over 200 mph!
We already have the Lawmaster (the model of which arrived today and is already off to be painted, so keep your eyes peeled!), Pat Wagon and Manta, so we decided to populate the roads further.
First up is a Ground Car, a fast model enjoyed by the richer citizens of Mega-City One, and often stolen by perps for their getaways. Then we have a large Mo-Pad, a great target for a highway robbery - or a superb conversion into a mobile battle fortress!
Just to explain that last part, in Block War, you can either use vehicles as Mercenaries, simply bringing them in to the game as you need them, or you can purchase them to become a permanent part of your force - in which case they can be upgraded and customised!
Now, it might seem the Justice Department is going to be a bit outnumbered on the roads (because, obviously, an armoured Pat Wagon is just not enough...), so we are also adding the Banshee, the judges' own lightweight interceptor vehicle! Automatically Appended Next Post: Just seen, the Mechanismo stretch goal has been passed! Cheers for that!

Just a mini-update at the moment, as we may well have another a little later today...
First up, the Block War supplement has had an update, and is ready for you to download from;
http://www.mongoosepublishing.com/pdf/jdblockwar.pdf
This time around, we have cleaned up a few of the questions some of you had about the new rules, and added two complete new forces. First up is the Apocalypse War Resistance Unit (thanks to Da Boss on our forums for the idea), a mixture of judges, Citi- Def and punks with very little ammunition, determined to hold out against the East Meggers!
Then there is the Demonic Cabal, one I have been looking forard to messing around with! Now, this force list is very new and should be considered 'provisional' only, as it needs a great deal of playtesting to lock the summoning rules down (and maybe add a few more 'entities!'). But, have a go, as it should be a fun force to play - you will never quite know exactly how a game is going to go with these guys!
Finally, another preview - from the talented hands of Stephen May, a Zombie Judge, which will allow you to take advantage of the heavy armour option in the Zombie Horde force list!
Automatically Appended Next Post: Just a quick update before the end of the day (we should have an update for you tomorrow on the main rulebook)...
If, in the last hours of this Kickstarter project, we can count on your support to $70,000, we will add three Heroes of Mega-City One; Judge Giant, Fergee and a Judge from the Space Corps. The first two have been instrumental in literally saving the city, while the unknown judge from the Space Corps keeps a constant, vigilant eye out for threats beyond the Earth.
Rookie and Street Judge level pledges will each receive a choice of one of these fine Heroes. Wally Squad, Council of Judges, Sector Chief and Chief Judge levels will automatically receive all three!

Two stretch goals fell overnight, which fairly surprised us here at Mongoose. Our heartfelt gratitude for that, there will now be new Heroes in Mega-City One and a range of vehicles to hit the streets! I know many of you were wondering what was coming next, so...
If we can count on your support up to $80,000, we have something quite special for you all. First off, we will introduce not two, not three, but four new box sets, each featuring a biker gang so you can take to the Megways among the ground cars, mo-pads and Lawmasters, and wreck havoc at over 200 mph! We will add a Street Gang (punks and juves) on bikes, an Ape Biker Gang (okay, okay, I admit, that one is an addition made purely for myself!), Renegade Robots on Bikes and, finally, Zombies on Bikes (with Zombie Master/Mistress)!
These sets will be added as choices for Rookie, Street Judge and Wally Squad levels. The Council of Judges pledges will receive one Biker set of their choice in addition to everything else (and can still choose others as part of their box set options). Sector Chief and Chief Judge levels will automatically receive all four!
But that is not all... We will also do the legendary biker Spikes Harvey Rotten on a Lawmaster, as featured on his trip with Dredd across the Cursed Earth. He will be added to the Council of Judges, Sector Chief and Chief Judge levels.
And that is not all either! If we pass the $80,000 mark, we will send an electronic copy of the Judge Dredd RPG core book (which is a lovely read, even if you are not a roleplayer) to everyone who has pledged more than $100, regardless of actual pledge level - just our way of saying thank you very, very much for all your support. Judge Dredd started off as a 'community' game, and your help in boosting both its range and profile, not to mention the ideas many of you have contributed to the game itself, is appreciated beyond words here at Mongoose HQ. Thank you.
Finally, we are not setting it as an 'official' stretch goal just yet but, if we pass the Biker Gangs, we will set a final stretch goal for the Judda, as requested by many of you...

I'd have much preferred to see a "Judges on Lawmasters" box included as one of the biker sets. :( Is there any way we might be able to "trade out" the non-Judge biker boxed set for a Judges' one? I'm trying to talk a friend into going in at the Council level as well, and there will be a degree of Horse Trading involved. I had the thought this morning, and it's probably too late now, but you know what would be a cool "kickstarter-only" thing for this? A little metal or resin "Dredd" badge, about 30-40mm high that we could paint up and use as a counter, or use as a keychain trinket, or turn counter, or whatever.

We really did not think the last stretch goal would be passed last night - but you guys rallied behind it and shot past it! Our grateful thanks for that.
So, in the last 20 hours or so of the Judge Dredd Kickstarter (finishes a little after 9:30am Saturday morning, UK time!), I think we have time for one last stretch goal!
If we can count on your kind support to take this project up to $95,000, we will add three of the Judda to Council of Judges, Sector Chief and Chief Judge levels. Perfect for teleporting into the Hall of Justice and creating havoc with Mega-City One Judges!
However, that is not all. We will also add another model from the same storyline, albeit one half world away - Oz Judge Bruce, mounted on his trike! Bruce and Trike will be added to Sector Chief and Chief Judge levels.
Once again, many thanks for your kind support thus far, you are making the Judge Dredd miniatures game into what we always hoped it could be!

Getting close to the end of this campaign with just over 2 hours left, they've already managed to surpassed their 'final' stretch goal too.
Im a little disappointed that something special hasn't been added for the big $100,000 milestone, a KS exclusive Dredd model would've been a great way to end the campaign.

If this KS did anything for me, it gave me a chance to learn how to forgive just a little.
As of now, I am very impressed with Mongoose's handling of the KS, and the evolution of the sculpts that they have developed for the game.
Though I still have a few... apprehensions about them, I will definatly be playing this game and digging out a few of my old comic books when I go back.
All in all, congratz on the KS Matt. I will be adding in a couple of the singles and some other stuff, and am very interested in the future of this game.
and- while waiting I will be digging back into the worlds of the 2000AD magazine/ website.
