So glad I got in on it. I hope it is good, and I hope there are a bunch of expansions, and it can gain a following like Space Hulk

a)
Biohazard + UK postage $125
Terrain pack $30
Extra floor tiles $25
2 x THI suit's $30
Calamity crew $20
one of each of the $10 heroes $40
extra set of Bone crabs $10

or

B)
We've got movement + postage $230
Calamity Crew $20
Niven, Ridley and Ramirez $30

I get the quantity with B, but a more rounded selection I think with A. My budget has gone for next month as well with this lot so it will not be a case of getting them with the extra time Kickstarter gives. What are most people going for, quantity or variety

If nothing else, I think you need to have ordered a THI to get the bit to make Iron Lily in a THI...

Yeah, it's a mixed bag, in my book-- it's good for business and good for latecomers, but also dilutes the sense of the product and the nature of the campaign. "Hard deadline! ...except if we can get more money."

I don't have a problem with it. I have no problem with my "exclusive" miniatures being available for ever end and ever to people I'll never meet or see if McVey so choose. While I understand the appeal of exclusivity and rariity (I have a fair few Sideshow, etc pieces) I also couldn't give a toss if these things (including the Sideshow pieces) were available forever to whoever wants them. I've probably grown more into this attitude as I've gotten older, but it's always been there and made sense to me.

Yeah, this. 100 quality minis for $100. I'm down for 2 Biohazard sets, but seriously looking at upping that to 3 sets.

Just confirming that latecomers to this kickstarter can still pledge for 2 weeks after official end:
Project Update #61: Timelines and housekeeping

Here's a little summary of how and when we're going to get info from you regarding your pledges.

Day 0 (June 30th) - Kickstarter ends

Day 7 - All pledges are processed by Amazon

Day 7+ - Kickstarter surveys go out to original Backers. This data will be used to determine initial order quantities and also pre-populate the CKPM. You will receive an email from Kickstarter.

Day 14 - Late pledges close (for those chaps who had problems with Amazon or got caught by the Kickstarter downtime). Write kickstarter@coolminiornot.com to get your late pledge in!

Day 30+ - CKPM goes live with pre-populated data. You will receive an email from kickstarter@coolminiornot.com (late pledgers too). Whitelist this email address.

What is the CKPM?

The CoolMiniOrNot Kickstarter Pledge Manager is a custom site we use to manage our Kickstarter. As a Backer, you will receive a login link at the appropriate time via email to confirm your shipping info, adjust any options and make any additional payments necessary via Paypal. It helps ensure we're all on the same page regarding what you want and where you want it to go. The CKPM communicates from the email address kickstarter@coolminiornot.com and will include the subject line: CKPM Notification: Sedition Wars. It will only communicate to your Kickstarter registered email.

The CKPM love you! Love the CKPM!

Is there any reason to get extra mini drones or bonecrabs? Not sure how many mini drones those regular drones actually carry...

Official information says that you can get a mini drone for turn, but that they are quite fragile so it seems not. For the bonecrabs no one knows really I believe

Not that I know of, you get 6 of each for every biohazard mind you. The Hurley can deploy 1/turn they have said and the drones are fragile. I would say 6 is probably enough unless you just want more.

Im getting a mass batch of Bonecrabs to bone wave the troopers with.

You get a load of them and clog up doorways, hallways, and have the other lvls 1-3 coming up behind them for the kills. Either the4 crabs are going to tie you up, while you get mowed down in chokepoints, or Your human factions are going to use those drones to boobie trap the chokepoints, and draw back while gunning down the waves.

Two or three waves, and your all over the place, with whoevers left.

total anarchy, by the by.

With the quality of the miniatures and the fact that we're getting lots of them, I hope Studio McVey has plans to eventually releases a 'proper' wargame too!

That is down the road and planned as far as I know. It's also pretty easy to convert the SW Playtest rules to regular wargaming and just use measurements. I imagine many people will be setting up tables specifically for this, I know I will be doing at least one or two interior board complex tiles.

And even if there arent any rules, I think I might pick up Tomorrow's War or something else generic

^^This.

These miniatures fit perfectly with the Tomorrow's War ruleset, at least to me...

Yes, those are really good rules and the model count for that Biohazard set is probably just about perfect.

You could probably even make up rules for the Strain miniatures as well actually, having the Vanguard as a force trying to protect the rest of the minis (scientists and the like) from the outbreak

yeah,
RiTides wrote:...Is there any reason to get extra mini drones or bonecrabs? Not sure how many mini drones those regular drones actually carry...

You get 6 crabs and 6 drones (2 of each type) with the biohazard pledge.

It's been mentioned that each AI drone can produce 1 baby AI drone per turn. there is no limit on how many it produces during the game, but they are weak and easy to destroy.
The boxed game uses card chits to represent baby drones, so if you need more than 6 you can use the chits.

I myself am going to get 1 or 2 extra sets of baby drones so that i can avoid using chits, plus there is a extra big AI drone at bio hazard and that will make babies too!

According to the kick starter threads there are no rules as of yet for the bone crabs... although I suspect they will make an appearance via a downloadable mission.

Panic....

I would expect it in the next few days. My guess would be monday depending on who's handling the surveys. If it's C'mon than it might come down to their work week since I doubt most of them work weekends.
