The part that I really dont like is the assault cannon underslung like that. It looks kinda silly to me.

The assault cannon is alittle over-sized, but other than that I quite like it.

I'll be curious to see if these are legit or not.

I think the Assault Cannon is TL but compacted into one gun IIRC. It's probably closer to the hull on the actual model, IMO.

I too am curious if these are legit. They all look really nice except the marine one. Well. that wont stop my from converting one and making it cool if they really come out. The ork and the necron one look great.

Well, it looks like a big improvement over the StormRaven to me, in that it at least it looks slightly plausible and less like the kind of toy I used to get at Xmas when I was 8.

But I wonder if it was wasted effort, looking at how many Baby Carriers and Storm Ravens you see about, its quite obvious that most people won't be bothered about the aesthetics of it anyway.

I guess I am one of the few who likes the look of the SM gunship but find the rules lacking. Its probably an efficient choice, just seems boring. Has basically the same sort of stuff already found through out the foc. Being able to toss a combat squad on the sides like a SM version of the little bird could have been useful and a refreshing addition the list. Alas this just seems like more of the same.

That's not the actual dropship from Aliens. That's someone's sketch of a "medical" variant.

So, SM gets yet another vehicle that you can outfit to be anti-tank or anti-infantry and Orks have to suck on yet another anti-infantry only addition to their already anti-infantry heavy/anti-tank light selections.

Still sucks to be an Ork player.

AV11? Not 12 like the Valk/Vend or StormRaven?
No transport ability? TLAC/TLHB upgradable (at what cost?). No PotMS. 130 pts. A new missile? at S7? sure, an extra shot but whats the point if AV14 is still untouchable and you can ID T4 dudes? Even Termies carry around a S8AP3 missile pack.
The typical upgrades (TLHB to TLLC) is 35-45 points (Razorback vs Predator costs...lets split the middle and call it 40). This bumps you up to about 170 pts or so.
For 130 pts the Vendetta gives you 3 TLLC and the ability to carry troop (making it scoring). On an AV12 platform. WTF!!!

At 125pts the Rifleman dred is more survivable and heavier hitting.

Wow, could the possibly get any more underwhelming than the ork craft?

Well those stats definitely justify fast attack slots, probably squadroned (weeeeeee $40.00 kits).

They just need to give us true looted vehicles back so we can jack vendettas.

That's what I thought too.
To be fair, a lot of their recent, fairly widely hated kits, such as the Dreadknight and Stormraven seem to have sold well.

For converting purposes only i think.

Dreadknights weapons, legs and arms are great for walkers conversion, and you get a "free" termie armor for "Chaos techies" count as oblits.

As for the Stormravens, once you get or do the same conversion kit as chapter house did, its a pretty decent looking flyer.

At least i know i enjoyed it when i did my Kitbashed Thunderhawk or right now, my Kitbashed Chaos Stormeagle by using a SR and a IG Valk.

Also dunno why people once again hates the SM STromtalon, it looks like a futuristic version of an Apache combat chopper...



Now i do think that the sketch isn't 100% accurate on the sizes, and that the model could be better looking in real.

Because Apache chopper has propellars, StormTalon has nothing.
You can make theory about gravity drive, but according to GW's own designs, Gravity Drive can only float the skimmers.
If stormTalon turns out to be a skimmer, then its 100% fine. If its a flier, then its an oversight.

Plastic surgery mentality? alright!

Personally, I think they all look rad, especially the Necron and SM fliers. Though I am very disappointed about the SM flier not having transport capacity, was really hoping for that.

The Necron thing is gorgeous, a flawless copy of the one in Battlefleet Gothic, the Orks thing is cool, at least it means I won't need to buy one from FW if this is real, and the Space Marine thing, well it looks like good Conversion fodder, and possibly if converted a little it looks like something Imperial Guard could have

Honestly I wouldn't mind the Stormtalon if it was an IG flyer. The main visual aspect that brings this model down is the goldfish-esque tail from the Stormraven. That and the landing gears either side of the main gun. Must take some sort of engineering genius to decide that all the pressure of the landing should be on the ammo cache/firing mechanism!

If anything this model will make for an interesting wreckage. Only thing to do now is await the price tag and hope it's not another $100+ vehicle.

Yeah your right but i couldn't find a good picture of it with its missile pods closed. It is practically the same things just doesn't have the two front missile pods. I've looked for the last hour to find a movie prop picture but i came up empty.

That's a bunch of sexy stuff, I like the Apache/AliensDropship/StormRaven design. I always pictured the stormraven, as it is out of the box, looks more like a helicopter than a jet... the wings seemed tacked on. I like that they abandoned them on this design and embraced a sleeker, more integrated design.

The Marine one looks a bit like the Robogear Thunder, only less classy.

Why are these drawn on napkins..? I was under the impression that GW had slightly more competant artists than that. The necron flyer was even already painted in their book.

They aren't GW images, BoW had to draw them because they can't directly leak GWs stuff

I will only grab one if it doesn't look nearly that stupid.

I think the front of the Stormtalon mixed into a Dreadknight might make for a good AdMech Knight.
