Heya as I said in my into I've started make my own chapter and I'm currently witting some of fluff for them. The models I have are from the AoBR box and all the capes and Aquilla pins are made from green stuff let me know what you think.

Wow, these are really good. The capes are solid, although I could go for some more detail. Weathering effects on the fringes would be a nice touch. Washes will add a lot to this though. Devlan Mud or Badab Black will add depth.

I do question the Dreadnaught's cloak though. It seems a bit odd.

Those are ace! I do however now have an image of the chapter scouts always deploying on the left flank with large fans to keep the capes billowing dramatically

Please excuse any spelling errors. I use a tablet frequently and software keyboards are a pain!

Awesome, I'm liking the captain a lot. I agree with Flinty and think some billowing capes are in order, possibly with long, billowing hair too.

Long billowing hair would look awesome Very Space Wolfy.

Flinty, Reminds me of when I saw DragonForce in Glasgow a few years back and ZZ did the whole set stood on a huge upward pointing Fan so his hair few all over the place looked epic

The dreadnaughts cape was something of a personal joke between me and Caffeine as I was making the rest have capes I thought why not

Weathering the capes sounds like a cool idea I'm gonna see about doing that soon and I'm going to try to put up a pic of the models with the green stuff capes before i under coated them

Do my eyes deceive or does that dread have a cloak as well?

It could use some more detail, but I like the concept.

I'm really loving the muted pastel paint job, very smooth and a very neat application.

Great colour scheme!

Hi

I really like them - the colours are striking and the cloaks are cool.

Can't help but think that they'll last all of a couple of weeks in the field before being called to Slaneesh's banner though!

Would be good to see some more depth on the painting (highlighting etc), but overall would be happy to come up against these guys in a game!

Thanks guys the Highlighting is my next project so I'll probably upload some more when they are done.
On that any suggestions for a good Highlight? The Armor at present is Liche Purple and Codex Grey basic with the Eyes and outer Capes Ice Blue.
Also I've painted a Silver wing on the Captains cape which I'll upload a good pic ASAP any suggestions of icons that would look good or should I just Leave the capes Ice Blue and Detail the Sargent's and Captains?
All Suggestions are welcome

Hey, I love the capes. Beautiful paint scheme, etc...the only thing i find slightly strange is the dreadnought's cape. It seems slightly impractical to me, and it looks a bit silly. Perhaps several smaller banner like pieces of cloth would be more appropriate, clinging to his arms and back maybe? It's your call in the end. I can't think of any insignia but I don't think it should have wings, whatever you choose. Keep up the good work.

Honestly, at first I thought it really was not my cup of tea, the combination of colours looked, well aweful !

But actually looking back at these a second time, they are actualyl really nice, the colours compliment eachother I think.

And the capes add identity to the chapter as well as the colours.

Not a bad job really
