I guess I gotta write an article, but im feelin' pretty lazy... School has pretty much annihilated any desire whatsoever I had to write.

I'm completely new to this, started building this year. Im 19 and it's pretty overwhelming to see everyone else's profiles - to see they started young and have pretty much mastered their craft by now. I have lots of catching up to do! lols. I have never built models and my painting experience is limited - but im very interested in that side of it, and I think I can only learn by trial and error. So basically what I'm starting with is a Chaos Daemon army, I have the codex and two squads of Bloodletters and Slaanesh, with a Skulltaker. The bloodletters are complete and look very Spawn inspired (yes im a comic book nerd!) and I'm also experimenting with a very colorful mix of bright pinks and purple on the daemonettes.

I just added some pics to my gallery so you can see for yourself, let me know what you think.

No I just nicknamed her that one night (pretty sure we were drunk XD) and it stuck

BTW, we posted some of her Daemons in my gallery until we get one set up for her. They're also in my Army blog (Which I still want moved to the P&M Blogs section from Painting and Modelling )

Welcome Binky! Don't feel bad, I'm a relative newcomer to 40k as well and I don't get to play often so shaking the rookie status hasn't been easy. Good luck with your blasphemous warp-spawn (even though they will eventually be driven from His domain). Oh, and very cool that you're into comics...I've only collected them sporadically for many years now but I have the first 20 or so issues of Spawn and many other early Image releases.

Gridge, it's nice to know there's other newbies out there... but what army do you have? I take it you don't serve Chaos (how sad lol) but thanks for the warm spirited welcome even as you appear to loathe my "warp spawn" Also a nod to a fellow comic geek, even though technically I think I need a better title for myself. I do read comics, but don't collect them - Im several decades behind that fad- tear - but I do have graphic novels and as well am a big Spawn fan.

Thanks for the tips. And don't tell EF what to think... people should convert to chaos!
But not everybody - there still has to be an enemy.

You are right that Chaos isn't my primary army (that would be Space Marines) but I do have a decent sized force of Nurgle and a smattering of Imperial Guard. I would definitely be fielding my chaos horde, if I wasn't so turned off by the last CSM codex. And you're welcome for the....welcome. Oh, and how about comic enthusiast or professor of illustrated studies?

So you're also into Space Marines. Are they a good army to start with cuz everyone seems to have them. What's wrong with the CSM codex? haven't read it yet. Comic enthusiast works, I like Prof. but don't think ive earned my doctorate yet.

Space Marines for me were a good force because I find them pretty flexible plus I like the fluff. As for the CSM codex I like the last edition much better...In my opinion the army lost its feel and is now a pale shadow of the greatness that the forces of chaos once were. It doesn't matter to me that a very competitive force can still be fielded. And, you could always go with future professor if making titles for yourself is a problem.

There's definately lots of fluff out there, thats too bad about the codex - chaos will lose alot of its followers. Ah its fine, I don't need a title. I'm fine going label-less i mean its worked for some time now. lol.

Haha...sneaky, sneaky but I know better than to trust a fellow worshipper of Slaanesh.

Serioously though, what are the Revenants of Sin? Sounds dark and blasphemous.

Well Binky.

I could not bring myself to paint my marines pink. So the Revenants of Sin were born. my home made Renegade chapter here let me give you this post. Oh they are bright blue/black rather then pink and black.

Do you have any pictures posted of these models? And what's wrong with pink? There definately isn't enough of it in 40k. But interesting read
