i like the idea of sponsons and extra armour from a visual point of view, rules wise i dont do guard yetso dont know. how are you planning on doing the sponsons, sponsons similar to the pre heresy mk2b landraider would be cool, not as boxy and would fit the turret better imo?

Thanks Vitruvian and Cain. Hope to use the engine filters on the bit where doors normally go at the back... going to try and build a sort of engine compartment. I also gotta block of the lasgun holes on the sides. Already removed the rims, just working out what I want there instead

Looking good! Not so sure about the sponsons on the turret, maybe it is just the angle. The FW bitz give it lots of character

Yeah, I like the look of the Sponsons also. They are staying think it really adds character and makes it look very different from other 40k tanks. Glad I managed to get hold of the swappable sponsons, means I can change the guns about to suit the game
I think this time I'm gonna try a grey scheme. And someones getting me the Imperial Armour Model Masterclass for xmas so will try some new stuff!

I think it went together well indeed. It looks very IGish, without being cannon IG.
I like the sponsons on the tank.
Now, you need a squad of 'conscripts' with 'las-carbines' with a 'drum power cell' and bearskin caps.

Yes, I'm still here. Been a while since last update. Been trying to shake a nasty chest infection which has kept me off work and not allowed me to sleep properly for a week so far... But managed to work a little today on the Krieg. Here is a WIP shot of the Grenadier Heavy flamer squad... hard to see colours but face mask is a lighter silver colour. Went with this as I just finished reading "Dead Men Walking" and there was a bit in there when someone thought the Death Korps and necrons looked similar. I have finished that book and I must say I'm really disappointed with it. Very poor story and I was really looking forward to it being released :( The necrons come out souding great.. and the Krieg come out as loosers who kinda giveup instead of fighting to the last man... anyhoo... below is wip

Very nice! I am not too keen on the bronze pipe, if you were going for a heat-worn tube then I would suggest using a dark silver and stippling orange onto it (or even better would be the FW weathering powder Aged Rust)
Just so you know, I also bought some DKoK and the book "Dead Men Walking". I have not got round to reading it yet but I had a feeling that it was not going to be as good as I would like simply because the author was very new and not one of my favorites.
Anyway, nice work on the flamer team!

Thanks And welcome to the DKOK family!
I made the pipe bronze as I thought there was already way to much metal in that area and thought making this different would help break up the model. I know what you mean though... doesn't look right. I have applied some washes and this has darkened the Bronze colour.. will post pics soon And thanks again as always for the comments kind sir!
