Ok hating done this stuff looks great and for really makes me want to play Dark Eldar.

you realize some of us DE players started at the beginning of 3rd edition and didnt get any models or even a codex update for 12 years right. Totally forgotten.

Dude we are in the same boat. I remmber when the old SW codex came out in 2000. Hell we still got 2nd Ed guys. and I think the next time we will get a new codex in 6-7 years.

But still love these guys.

Love the new stuff, but very disappointed in the lack of Wracks. Guess it's time to turn some old warriors into counts-as or something :/

Cuz it got the Ward Treatment... which means flying dreadnaughts and matrix rehashes. Oh, need I mention the infantry sized daemon prince on steroids?

In the interest of not turning this into a GK, BA or Ward-bashing thread (however much I'd like to do all three of those things), I do have a serious question related to model design:

Who designed the current GK range?

And what sculptors besides Jes did the new DE range (I'm pretty sure Juan did some of the metals)?

It's okay. Almost every thread should turn into a GK, BA, or Ward-bashing thread. We must look out for our hobby.

I don't have the Grey Knights White Dwarf issue with me in work, so someone else will have to confirm it, but i'm pretty sure that Jes did the major concept design for the Dreadknight, before someone else knocked the actual kit up.

Even more enraging: Only 1 of each non-shardcarbine option!

Both suck a lot. At least they are good looking, not too expensive, and sprues have 5 carbines.

Dont worry, apparently there's still another subwave release a bit later.

Hey, the stormraven gets a solid "okay" in my book. The dreadknight however...well you can always recycle plastic, so it has that going for it.

And to answer your question, because Jes is only one man and he can't sculpt every model himself. Even though we really, really want him to.

And to answer your other question: Jes Goodwin, Tom Walton, Alex Hedstrom, Juan Diaz, Oliver Norman, Aly Morrison.

Also, seems all the people who said the talos/cronos wouldn't be a combined kit because the cronos would be too small (since it's called a "parasite" engine and obviously that means tiny) were wrong.

Think you're suffering from a case of new model rapture here. Certainly the most recent Banshee sculpts stand up fairly well IMHO.

Website says they'll be released June 4th.

Sweet, just looked at the scourge sprues. A twin-tailed agonizer and what finally appears to be a venom blade, judging from the capillaries on the side.

They're alright, they just.....well I'd most likely just get scourges and wych bits and make my own banshees, much sleeker

Automatically Appended Next Post:
Don't get me wrong, I still like the banshees and all Eldar for that matter. Dark Eldar just make the entire CW Eldar infantry line cry themselves to sleep at night....in a good way. Eldar will look fantastic once they're eventually redone.

OT: I can't wait to see wracks, those are going to be amazing. I'm having a very hard time not buying up all the DE I can

pardon the poor res. the banshees need to hit the weights and cocaine some more. lol

Why do people think SW need a 2nd wave? The only model that isn't supported is the TWC IMHO and apparently they're on their way...
