There should be some interesting stuff on here for you, I'm sure MGS has filled you in on the background stories etc! I suggest checking out the painting and modelling blogs, they are pretty interesting reads and some really talented people are on there.
Very wife impressive btw! I'm sure it means a lot to MGS, I know it does for me when my missus takes an interest!
