they are also talking about how they are taking damage from the asteroids.

I disregard Super Weapons, and Star wars super weapons in particular, because they are simply rediclous. small absurdities are forgivable in Science Fiction, but not of the scale that Star Wars has.

Death Star: a laser that can destroy a planet. the power that the laser would need to accomplish this task is impossable. the DS would need to be completely filled with generators and have an incredibly tiny crew to power the thing. even then, it would more likely simply blow a chunk out of the planet rather then blow it into space dust.

the Starkiller(or whatever that fighter sized ship that fires Resonance torpedos to blow up stars): Resonance. on a Star. from a torpedo fired from a starfighter. This takes the cake for absurdity. also, its Fanfic which i absolutly detest.

the Star Wars Fanfic crowd seems to have a fetish for super weapons and they keep trying to out do each other. it cheapens the scaryness of the Death Star. why was it so scary if super weapons of that power had come around before and would come around again.

but to be fair, I woudn't include Exterminatus when comparing the IoM and Star Wars.

If they're plowing through an asteroid field, it's logical to assume they've been there a while, and taken dozens of hits from asteroids. The shields collapse from the prolonged pounding, and one slips through.

Regardless of how you see them, superweapons are an integral part of Star Wars canon. You do NOT disregard them simply because you don't think they make sense. They make sense in the setting, and adhere to the precedent put forth by the highest level of canon. Whether or not you like it, they're there.

Also, I'm not sure how stupid you have to be to think that the EU is fanfic.

EU is most certaintly Fanfic.

most of the stories(maybe i had a bad selection) are horribly written or have a stupid premise.

If we include Super Weapons, I get to include the possability of Deamons eating Jedi brains(Jedi = psyker) or Warp Rifts opening up when a 40k ship is destroyed.

then Star Wars is well and truely screwed.

Self-proclaimed evil Cat-person. Dues Ex Felines

Cato Sicarius, after force feeding Captain Ventris a copy of the Codex Astartes for having the audacity to play Deathwatch, chokes to death on his own D-baggery after finding Calgar assembling his new Eldar army.

They're still not fanfiction. Stop using that word. You have no idea what it means.

Jedi are not psykers. You've not provided any evidence to prove they are, other than having supernatural powers.

They are Fanfic that has simply recieved Lucas's stamp of approval and been published.

This doesn't change the fact they aren't any better then some nerd in his mom's basement writing stories(which many of them might as well be)

the quality of the work is of fanfic level.

as to Jedi being psykers.

they may not be the same but, then again, they might. its a good paralell. and the only real way both psychic powers and the Force could exist in the same place.

Nothing says where the energy for Force powers is obtained, just that there is an energy field that surrounds everything. the Warp is an Alternate dimension(made of Energy) which is adjacent to every point in the universe(surrounding everything)

even if this isn't correct, there is still the Deamon problem. there will be latent psykers somewhere in the galaxy and they will have no defense now that the Dark God's gaze have been drawn.

you get your silly little super weapons, I get my deamonic hordes.

Supernatural = Pyschic abilities.
Your opinion is dismissed in that it certianly does sound like a fanficition is freaking ridiculous.
And you keep denying the fact that the tyranids would first come to the worlds before hand with genestealers then all of a sudden Corescant is overrun with genestealer cults then all of a sudden the entire populace of all the major planets ARE GONE.
you can't mind trick or mind control a creature already controlled by a being that is more powerful than all jedi combined and sith combined.

40k wins, because we have a ridiculous amount of soldiers and a ridiculous amount of firepower in destroying entire star systems.

So stop making up BS. Jedi Are pyskers. they use all the things around them using their mind in concentration, THAT IS A DEFINITION OF A PYSKER.
Pyskers in the real world sense use their mind, that is what a pysker in 40k does too.
Jedi are not even considered to be that powerful compared to Librarians.
The Entire 40k universes starships would own the starships of the starwars one, we have discussed this before. Starwars fails all the way.
Starkiller was the most powerful force user of all time and he is not even near the rank of Beta. Alpha Plus is very rare but he will never be that powerful.
And Grey Templar I agree.
If he gets his silly superweapons then I get Planet Killer and the blackstone fortresses. and every single 40k superweapon of all time >.< And boy are there a ton of them.

Okay, now you're backing up faster than I can post. Now they're not fanfic, just as bad as fanfic. Too bad that some fanfic is exceptionally well written, in addition to being easier to read than your posts.

Okay, you can have daemons. Too bad the Tyranids don't summon them, and Jedi don't. What was your point again?
Jedi are not psykers. Psykers draw their power from the Warp. If Jedi were psykers, there would be daemons in Star Wars.

As for genestealers, read the OP. There is no mention in the scenario given of the Tyranids having seeded worlds with genestealers.

Because the imperium is paranoid and kills its own civilians for the hell of it. HAve you not read 40k history at all? it clearly says that it is because the imperium knows what the taint looks like. The Starwars universe does not.
Apparently you are agrueing against 5 or more people that keep saying the tyranids win because the star wars universe will lose because of being overwhelmed.

And Nervaint i am making the point that if it was the imperium vs starwars universe imperium wins because they don't use hyperspace XD and the weapon and starkiller himself is dead and his clone is missing.

Once the Star Wars universe finds out about genestealers, they'll be even more efficient at detecting and destroying them. First contact didn't destroy the Imperium, it won't destroy the Star Wars universe.

And for your second point... what? Imperium wins because it uses an inferior method of FTL travel? Because Star Wars doesn't have its most useless super weapon? Because they're short one powerful Jedi? How does that make any sense.

Okay, Hive Fleets are crushed, people start dying on Outer Rim worlds, investigation reveals genestealers, infestation controlled, minimum loss of life.

What's the problem?

Also, why are you shouting at me? Because I don't know the exact moment when the Imperium first encountered genestealers?

They'll find out. Medical technology in SW is far greater than the Imperium's.

They found out about it because they have known about them because they find them on a freaking planet. READ 40k HISTORY BEFORE YOU COMMENT!
Ymgayal as it is known as is where they discovered them, the imperium found them slaughtered them and studied them learned a ton and then one genestealer bred with a human and then all of a sudden they brought it home to a city world and the world fell and the imperium thence forth killed everything and learned the signs. But the tyranids were learning how the imperium fought and how cruel they were to their people. and then nom nom nom nom nom

That is just the first stage of an infestation. The second stage is a bit more terrfying
PLus the starwars universe will become less and less loving of each other and will splinter in fear.
Sorry to say this but you keep posting information that you don't know.
The tyranid hive fleets will destroy the entire starwars forces. Of course the starwars forces will met success early on, then comes the rest of the hive fleets attacking them from everywhere possible and the Starwars universe is basically eaten and moves onto the 40k universe.

Rest of the Hive Fleets?

Funny, telling me to stop posting, when you haven't read the OP.

There are some who walk until their legs fail them and they fall to the ground. I find that respectable.
Then there are those who drag themselves further. I find that admirable.

apparently you don't know the tyranid tactics
hit and run and they start to grow back by attacking the military installations.

The Tyranids can't use hit and run tactics against the SW galaxy.

They did against the eldar and all the other races.
The Starwars universe after defeating alot of them will think "GALAXY SAVED! Now die Separatists!"
And the fleets of the starwars universe are already far apart remember the fleet around corscaunt was actually pretty small at the beginning and it wasn't until later that it tripled in size.
The tyranids would eat threw their shields and oh crap their vessels are gone!
Tyranids have more tasety biomass to have Yum

You've clearly missed this entire thread. They can't eat SW ships, because the SW ships are engaging at ranges far beyond the Tyranids, and can jump away if they get close.
They can't sneak around the SW universe, because the Holonet and hyperspace speeds mean that if a planet comes under attack, a fleet can get there before they're done.

In space, the Tyranids are beat.
