Anyone ever actually use an entire pot of any of the GW washes? I am trying to get an idea of how many Roughly Hormagaunt sized models you could actually cover using a full container. Those things are really small but go quite a long way. Thanks.

I have 5,000 pts of Orks, and I estimate that I've used at least a quart of Devlan Mud. It's the greatest!!!

I'm not 100% sure, but on my last set of Leman Russ's I used about a pot for every 2.

Hmm, depends on how much you're covering. I was using Ogryn Flesh on my 'nids and I got about 30 done for each pot, although this was full coverage including a couple of larger beasts.

After the orbital strikes, Thunderhawk bombardments, Whirlwinds, Vindicators, fusion and starfire and finally Battle Brothers with flamers had finished cleansing the world of all the enemies of Man, we built a monastery in the center of the largest, most radioactive impact crater. We named the planet "Tranquility", for it was very quiet now.

I have an Ork army where every model is liberally doused in Devlan Mud. So far it's been about 60 boyz, 10 Nobz, 15 kommandos, 5 Stormboyz, 10 grots, 15 Lootas, some HQ's, and a pretty decent sized motorpool. Well over 100 models, plus 3 vehicles or so, and I've gone through maybe 3 pots of it. Washes go faster than regular paint, but you can get a lot done with one pot.

Not for me. I have used up several pots of chaos black, and around the same amount of codex grey over the past two years, and yet I haven't used more than half of my gryphonne sepia pot since then, despite using it on countless models, most of them Necrons since the same time. For me, washes last an incredibly long time. And no, I didn't cheat by refilling it.

I have been through a couple of Devlan Muds and a Badab Black so far, but I used them as part of the painting of my RoB board as well as a whole bunch of Blood Angels troops and vehicles so as far as I am concerned, they last quite well, even with someone like me who is quite liberal with them.

Devlan Mud is the only paint i've ever finished a whole pot of...and I'm on my 3rd pot
Running out of Badab Black too. They dont last as long as paints (especially when painting vehicles). But they are extremely good.

Wow, thanks Dakka. I'm heading back offshore to a boat with some paints and somewhere around 100 tyranids. I'll be picking up and extra can of wash. Thanks again.

Yup, i'd concur with the 1 pot for 30ish infantry models.
I Badab Blacked a CSM army of 60 marines, 10 bikes and 4 tanks with about 3.5 pots iirc.
