In celebrations of a new beginning in both 40K and life I have switched up to the Angry Marine Chapter of Space Marines. I am playing them as really pissed off Blood Angles. The Angry Marines have participated in Da Grand Waagh on the USS Hornet in Alameda, CA. They number 1850 points and growing.
The Army right now consists of the following:

Mephiston

Pissed off Priest sportin a Power Sword and Combi-Melta

5 Angry Assault Marines with Melta and Power Bat crusin in a Ass Cannon Razorback
5 Angry Assault Marines with Melta and Power Finger crusin in a Ass Cannon Razorback
5 Angry Assault Marines with Melta and Melta Bombs crusin in a Heavy Bolter Razorback

Master of Blasphemy (Chaplain) rockin a Combi-Flamer
5 Burning Brothers (Death Company) with Power Ax, Power Sword, Infernus Pistol and Thunder Hammer

Bligerent Engine with twin Blood Talons
Furioso Librarian

Right Baal with shinny new Ass Cannon and Heavy Bolters
Left Baal also rollin Ass Cannon and Heavy Bolters

As of today everything is built and painted except the second Starmraven. I am also going to make a Predator Angrinator and a display board. I still need to do some details on most models: eyes, sensors on the vehicles.

There are a few things that I am proud of:

1. The overall humor, this army is fun to play and get comments from other gamers on.

2. The Decals. I made these all myself on Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop. This is my first real use of decals

3. The weathering. I like how the metal through paint effect came out on the vehicles.

hmmmm i like it, but they don't seem angry enough. You can't just say "this sanguinary priest is angry", you have to show it. Also painting in the lenses would help. Good job otherwise.

I love them. Only a few things I think you could easily do to great effect:

Paint helmet lenses! You did a great job with all of the lenses on the bird, do it for the helmets!

Bring out the wings on the chests with a bleachbone or something, it'll add more detail and color to the figures without adding much work.

Give the metal on the dread (and possibly all of the bleached bone surfaces on all models) a sepia or other light brown wash. It will add a lot of depth and color, give an even dirtier grunge look without diminishing the great look you already have going.

I love the power bat. Excellent work!

Only thing I'd do is put a lot more text (obscenities) on their armour. They hardly seem angry.

As said above: Great weathering! But you've gotta do the eyelenses at least, it's driving me nuts. Oh, and it needs MOAR RAEG!

I'm sorry to sound like an ass but these are some of the worst mini's i've seen. The Angry Marines were such a silly concept army in the first place but your painting of them looks incredibly messy, rushed and done with very little care or appreciation of the models.

I cringe at all the money that must have been spent on these mini's only for them to be treated like this.

Please try not to take too much offense at this, I really don't want to piss anyone off. I just think you should be given some crticism on these so that you take more care of any future models.

I would recommend stripping down 90% of these and starting again. Keep them as Angry Marines because obviously they appeal to you - and that's fine, but please, for the love of The Emperor, give them a better paint job.

Now you need the angrywindlauncher, a modified whirlwind I saw with the angry marine snarly face it had extra launchers on the sides, all launchers were loaded with angry marines ready to be launched at the enemy!

At first I was a little turned off by the army, but the more I look at it, the more I "get it." The weathering is much, but when taken in context they're perfect. Some of the details could be picked out better, but everything else is perfect for an AM army.
Say what you will about the gimmick of Angry Marines, but they're no sillier than the rest of 40K, and actually are a refreshing and humorous tongue-in-cheek crack at the entire idea.
