Yeah, I was looking though the list and the guide lines for joining the project as a whole and the individual mobs. Frankly I'm stuck between The Konvertas and the Dirty Duzzen, so I'll probably make a grot that could fit either... or maybe a model for both. I dunno, I'll have to flip a coin or something.

Not quite a mob yet... but we're getting there.

This reminds me that I have 2 of the old tin boys. I should take some pics for those who don't remember them cause your too darn old or those who have'nt a clue cause your too young. I'd have to go look at the old codex to see what they were all about!

Are they grots? Or orks? Problem is the mob can only have 3 runt herds, so were full up. There are other ork units that aren't covered in the waaagh dakka yet though.

The tinboyz were robots made by the meks to make fun of the other armies. There's a pointy one (eldar) one with huge shoulders (SM) and a stunty one (squats... remember them )

I would say the squat one would be perfect for a grot bot... one of the rogue trader unit upgrades for grots. It's a force shield of some sort, that follows the grots around.

yeah. I have a scattering of the squats.

I'd like to try my hand at sculpting a squig, but we'll see how my time is panning out.

PS. love the way you did the lenses on your guy gits. it really does look like he's staring right at ya!

Thanks Solar... I think it's the pose as much as the lenses themselves... It's that kind of sideways quizzical animal thing... any hunter, farmer or pet owner knows that look.

What happens when you get your full Mob?

@fatty: Would be delighted to have you fatty, no worries mate! It's more fun in the grot pool anyway.

@Solar_lion: When the mob is full, the mob is full. Any DCM can start a mob as long as it doesn't duplicate an existing mob that ISNT full (in other words if our mob fills up, a DCM could start another cyber-grot mob if they want). I think there's a regular grot mob out there with only 1 DCM runt herd... I think that one would have to fill before you could start another regular grot mob. Maybe not though... if that one got 10 grots, I think you could legally start another mob.

There are a bunch of ork units that aren't in the Waaaagh Dakka yet, so you (as a DCM) could let Yakface know you wanted to start one and then build your model accordingly.

I think the odds of us getting 30 grots are about a million to one. Even cyber grots (which are cool). I'm guessing most folks would want to be a full-fledged ork if they could.

Yakface started a thread (see the Waaaagh Dakka post) where you can show your in-progress work. The WD page (where you can read about the mobs and see pics of the bosses and nobs) is wikki style... so when you finish, you can just post your finished model up there in the right area.

o wait there cyber grots right o then the commisar gretchin is a no go. but i have build a better grotier grot. no wips though just wait till i finished it so like tommorow

OH and one more thing to everyone.... the way Yakface set things up... you don't actually have to get approval to join our mob. It's nice that you let us know you're interested... but as a dakkanought in good standing, (i.e. you're still breathing and haven't been banned for some reason) you have the right to make a figure for, and enter any mob you want to.

So, have at it friends!!

That's tremendous fatty! Just make sure the pic is cropped close in to the fig, and maybe try to adjust your macro setting if possible? But, oh so cool an addition to the mob!
