That regarding the new orcs & goblins releases, there are no nipples on all the new orcs?
Does this mean they are finally phasing out orcs with nipples?

Is this a shift towards fluff consistency (i.e. spore based reproduction) or something else?

Why would modern orcs/orks have nipples?

They are not a species of mammals feeding offspring and they have no females. They also shouldn't have bellybuttons as they have no umbilical cord.

Because the orcs growing from mushrooms thing was invented by Gav Thorpe IIRC, it wasn't always that way. Orks/Orcs started their conception as essentially really scummy humans with foul manners, green skin, and spoke like a london docker (amusingly, that is the one piece of background that still survives) and have steadily moved away from that and towards a more bestial nature. Now they exist only to inflict pain and destruction, and as a result are rather 2 dimensional in nature, the shedding of nipples is another part in that process I guess.
