I had never intended purchasing scenery, wasn't sure I would ever actually play the game as much as have a painting/modelling hobby (and i actually have been modelling, hence I haven't been emailing you guys every week lol) but now you got me thinking again

are you going to produce the vee plates for the corners as well, kinda looks a little off when only the straights bits have them

Rather than narrow the viewports, what about attachable slats so you can narrow it or sandbag it to suit your heavy wepons team.

After all some guard poses have Heavy weapons troops llaying down, some kneeling etc, so narrowing it migh "obscure the view of some of the models.

I look forward to seeing the sample so we can get a pic with different heavy weapons teams for comparison.

If I had ever brought terrain back in the day, I would have always modded it to suit my needs (and I was an ORK player) so lots of styrene sheet and gubbinz were added. Maybe we could offer two variants - open topped and armored.

I guess it all comes down to who our target market is - whether it is gamers who are unable to make terrain, or people who don't have time and would rather buy a cheap set. Until then its all a bit of a guess as to how much complexity we add to the model kits.

The new heavy weapons watchtowers are very good indeed.
I dont mind the open idea personally , but then again i rarely game :-/ It does look in line with the rest though.

If you make the front plate so they can be installed upside-down aswell as the standard way it would allow the player to almost pick where the open 'window' area would be situated, kinda like this

Now that GW have discontinued there road packs , could you build some road plates , maybe with pavements and kerbs to seperate buildings out?

Have a look at buildings from the BSG and Stargate Universe series , they have some designs for 'futuristic' buildings that would work.

I like it.

I think the platforms are a little bit wide.

Any thoughts on making larger viewing platforms with multiple scaffolding sections underneath?

Also - if you can make the scaffolding modular, it might be a good start on large radio towers, modular slot together buildings, etc.

Thanks for the ideas for the heavy weapons platforms, spent a few ideas moving things around...overall I wasnt to happy with the model once it had been assembled - it looked to top heavy and alittle...weird!

After a bit of brainstorming, a variotion appeared! Hope you guys like it!

The towers can accomadate a 60mm base or a couple of guys on 25mm bases

I'm trying to persuade Ed to give Infinity a try so more terrain is good! Been playing around with some bits, I think an outpost needs to be made!

Sorry to get all military on you, but you want maximum protection, and smallest possible firing slits. The Nests look pretty open plan. I wouldn't allow much more than 3+ save on them, Bunkers are designed in a Pillbox way for this reason.

Otherwise I think they look brilliant, and gel well with the Barracades. It looks more PDF than IG.

Thanks for the comments, Harry has heavy weapon teams that we sampled the towers with, so there will be a few alterations to the final model, perhaps with an even more enclosed pill box as that's where a few of the commentors have directed us.

I'm 'out of the office' today and Harry is working on a few other bits, so we'll update as soon as we can!

The new design looks much much better. A lot more stable/solid than the top heavy looking ones. I agree with mwnciboo though about the windows still seeming a bit open. Also, why are the tops of the corner pieces those spikes instead of the windows? I can imagine the whole wall looking good with only spiked tops on all the barricade walls (meaning on the straights as well as the turns), and a whole wall (turns included) with window-like tops would look great too. Mixed together seems kinda un-imperial.

Those are just my thoughts, You guys are making awesome stuff!
