Magnificent in their ugliness. The hair colors are perfect.

Agreed, some classic Goliath Mohawk colours there. Any plans to paint any of the, to modern eyes, hilarious monopose plastic Goliaths from the original starter set?

Those Goliath are perfect for Halloween, these are some horrible sculpts. But you are making the best of them, great color choices!

Thank you ListenToMeWarriors. Fortunately I have none of the horrible mono-pose plastics from the box set.

Thanks Viterbi
So ugly they're scary.

They look like they stepped right out of 1995. Except for the bases, but no complaints there. Great work on the skintone and definition. You have amassed quite the collection of painted gangs, now. Any chance of group pic?

Yeah, whoever thought the underhive would have lush green fields for a flooring system

Great job getting the gangers painted up so well Captain, the paintjob rescues the sculpts somewhat

Thank you youwashock, I do not have a photo of all the Necromunda gangers I have collected and painted (I think it is an even 50 now, excluding the two non-gang folks). However I do have these:

Continuing to remove 40K ruins and replace with Necromunda ruins. But there is enough here to build two Necromunda gaming tables if I add back the 40K ruins.

While I was adding the gangways I suddenly realized that I should add a lip to prevent nicely painted metal models from toppling off to land among the ruined streets below. I know that a number of posters have pointed out that there are no safety regulations in Necromunda...but I do fear for the paint work of metal models.

I need to make some more raised platforms (likely tacked onto some of the small Manufactoriums I plan on building) for the larger gantries.

Whilst Necromunda doesn’t have a Safety Regulator, I imagine the gangs have insurance lawyers up the ying yang, so lips to prevent falls may reduce claims

Your Terrain setup continues to look better and better with each new addition! Is it just the ruined buildings that remain of your 40k terrain?

Thanks guys.

So before I add the last two painted Goliaths, I have two shots of a new piece I am working on. I still need to add some small buttresses to the side of the tin can, and a ladder going up to the small platform.

Two questions:
1) Any suggestions for additional small pieces of detail?
2) I would like to know if I should add the random grey pipe to the space between the gang-box and the tin can (see the second photo)

Without random pipe...

With random pipe...

Thanks in advance,

CB

PS: Yes, I know I totally reversed the gravel filter the wrong way.

Definitely with the pipe, but I think it’s look better with something on the top of the pipe. Are the wedges along the building filed down lego pieces?

Maybe add something to the can - even posters maybe - to break up its origins further? Heck, you could probably run a platform around it - which would also cover the top of the pipe. (I think it would work with or without, but I'm leaning towards with the pipe.)

Build is looking good and I'm also in the "with pipe" camp.

Thanks gobert. Yes they are some old lego.

Thank you Stevefamine, Arakasi, and Viterbi.

Seems like the pipe is popular...still dabbling with them...if I cap them I think they should allow a model to step on them and gain a fire arc around most of the short tower.

In the meantime, these two are finished.

Gang as it stands with all the Goliath figures I have.

Those goliaths are coming along nicely. I have some somewhere in the mountain range of grey and silver . The terrain piece looks stunning. The only two parts of it I don’t like are the two pieces of the old imperial guard missile launcher used , but that’s because I hunted for those years ago and couldn’t get enough for my project at the time.

Thanks Theophony,

Do you mean the two little square end pieces on top of the cassette case?

If you are still looking I have loads of old Imperial Guard and first edition Rhino vehicle bits I can send you.

Cheers,

Yeah, those are soooo mid-90's sculpts. So bad. But you've done very well by them, straight out of White Dwarf.

Do you actually get to PLAY any Necromunda?

Wow, the difference between the Juves and the Rest of the Goliaths is pretty stark! All still funky sculpts, very much of their era.

Your terrain in this thread is exceptional. Sometimes I like to turn my head and imagine what a lot of these pieces started out as.

Excellent work, I love it all. Definitely need some slime pits for my own Necro board.

All this vintage Necromunda gives me a warm happy feeling. This is all great. Everything, the old school Goliaths, the scratchbuilt industrial terrain, the whole table set up. This is my bag. Necromunda was very much my first gaming love and will always be one of my all time favs. Keep up the increadible work.

Thanks Briancj.
We have not played since the 90's and the plan to return has been delayed since COVID 19. But other members of my gaming group have started to pull out their old gangs for a refresh and they have all downloaded the living rules.
gobert wrote:Wow, the difference between the Juves and the Rest of the Goliaths is pretty stark! All still funky sculpts, very much of their era.

Yes gobert, if I was to expand this to a complete gang I think more Juves would make the cut and be full gang members.

Alright, in the end I am going to drop the side pipes in favor of some ladders, as you need multiple ways to get up onto the top of terrain in the game. These are some WIP shots.

Awesome. I like the nameplate. Makes it feel like someplace significant that merits gangers fighting over it.

The new Necromunda rules are, IMHO, far superior to the 90's rules, even the 'living' rulebook. Give them a look!

I love how much detail you pack into each scratch build. The table looks dynamite to play on, and you even manage to make Goliath look good...

Thanks youwashock, I believe they are photo copies made way back when City Fight first was released...they had been sitting in a bag with other images stuck to cardboard waiting to be added to terrain for...well a very long time.

Thanks Briancj, we have and one member is pushing for them...the challenge is that our old metal gangs are all equipped with the original games standard weapons without the customization of the current edditions gangs.

Some more shots with a little better light.
