Plasma-guy looks fantastic Gits, but I agree the servo skull makes it a bit busy around that shoulder, maybe off to his right, coming off the rocky base?

The servo skull would look better on the other shoulder.... Maybe coming off the cable for the gun. I think the muzzle looks a little odd in gold, I know it is a good compliment to the purple but it would look better just as a bare metal...
Other wise he looks fabulous, and I love the look you've got with the eyes, and the purple.

and im with Imperial Monkey and monkeytroll for the servo skull, i like the gold muzzle though, shows it to be old and venerated (and hopefully if they treat it nice it wont blow up  )
i really want to see OSL too.....pleeeeeeeaaaaaase?

JB: I like the concept of a free Shrike roaming through the treetops of the jungle. I'm not sure that I like the idea of a real Shrike sitting on my couch eating my Skittles.

The "soot" on the barrel is a perfect addition, it felt a bit too shiny at first...
I agree with moving the skull, have you considered over the backpack?

I moved it about 4 different places. All the other times the wire just kind of dominated the scene. This was the best placement for the skull where the wire itself didn't interfere with the figure.

I love the cannoneer , there's something about the eyes , i can't place it , i'd have gone for a red gore-mechrite red-blood red fade , but thats personal taste.

First, Happy Easter, and second, the bug eyed monster really looks better and better. The soot is great, even though I'm a bit skeptical whether it would be there, since the weapon emits superheated plasma, but that's just my torturous high school past saying... physics was a pain, nuclear physics doubly so. Also, the coils would need more definition in my opinion, unless of course my eyes play tricks on me.

@Yggs: Since the little guy is just on a pin, he can easily be re-positioned by WM wherever he wants, so I'm not sweatin' it.
@Unlucky: The eye's are kind of my standard for the chapter... not sayin' they're perfect by any means... Blood red shaded to black with blazing orange then blazing orange and white as under highlights & skull white as upper highlight. Two coats of "Ard Coat over eyes is critical from proper look.
@Martin: You are probably right on both counts. I have never been any good at plasma guns, that's why I give them away! :-) We'll see what the airbrush does. I have a pretty good example that vent made me that I might try to emulate.
Off to the brother-in-laws for a special Easter dinner... roast lamb. (yummy but very creepy from a Judeo-Christian perspective... *shudder*)
