I completely agree. The added color makes them look much more finished.

The arms were off of all of them (not sure if that was you or the PO) and the muzzle flash on the one came off, but nothing I couldn't fix. No paint chipping though.
Once I get em based (need to get paint) I'll get some pics. Yours made it there ok I assume? They were kinda meant to come apart in most places. The heads aren't stuck in there btw.

Well the other Big Tank is in an ammo can of simplegreen (was to thick for another prime over) and I'm not sure what colors to do the foot soldiers. I think most of the tanks I got from you are getting orkified, my brother is on a looting rampage. I'll be saving the Baneblade, a Russ, and maybe the chimera and basilisk. I'm going to have a very mixed IG force too, I've got the DKoK from you, some Elysians I picked up cheap, and a good chunk of Cadians from a trade.

Currently working on 2 Vindicators for the Blood Angels, but I realized that I need the codex grey I ordered today for those as well So I'll get them mostly done instead. After that its back to the nids for some more major progress. I really want to get the nids I have finished up, I haven't hit any milestones in a long time. Then its back to Space Marines that are long overdue to get finished (I have some things from my very 1st 40k purchase still unfinished!) and maybe work on some of that FW junk I just picked up. Gotta get the terrain I got at least together as well and the GMS display board. List seems insurmountable, but I'll keep trucking along.

I finally got around to uploading the pics I took a few days ago. Started taking them outside for a better idea of the colors. Kinda limits the days I can take photos, but such is the way of things.
2 Blood Angels vindicators. That gives me a full linebreaker sqaud for them. Might add more at some point, but for not I'm pretty set.




Also got the warriors and pyrovore finished up. I found it annoying there wasnt any texture at the end of the Barbed Stranglers, so I made some, modeled after the Barbed Herodrule's.




I have started on some more nid troops and the other big tank. Not sure what I'll finish next.

Oh, and I traded my Tau, so sorry for any who really wanted to see that. Got my brother a big bump in his Dark Eldar though.

I completely agree with Gits, I love the skeletons! Especially the one that is just lower legs and it looks like it's dancing

On a more serious note your nids look great. The green really brings it all together.

That green really does make the 'nids pop. It's not overpowering and just alien enough from your first scheme to finish them nicely.

I was thinking a groupshot of each army. It really is inspiring to see your painting. Almost makes me want to bust out my leftover nids and start painting... Hmm today is a sick day from work.

I love that flyrant, and the zoey over the marine was great looking! I dont remember seeing the doom though.

Thanks. I saw it on a land raider dozer blade and one the side a year or so ago, thought I'd try it out. His was better, but I'm happy with it.

Crappy bugs as in Pyrovores suck in game Thanks for stopping in though, regardless of the reason. I think its nice out (ie, hope, my car windows are open), so I'll bring up the armies to get some army pics this eve. Some WIP pics if anyone wants as well.

Ok, I snuck out (its a lovely 95 degrees out) and grabbed some pics of the Nids. Whole army comes out to 1906 points without upgrades, but the Herodrule is 700 of that. Maybe 2500-3000 points total when I finish my current supply of nids.






If I am brave, I'll get the BA pics taken (3000 points), but I may wait until tomorrow when its cooler out. For sure not hitting up the DA today, I'm going to need help with them (7000 points).
These pics are super zoomable in my gallery as well.

@ Remi - The upside of the rules being sucky is I picked up the model used (just primed) for $12 And the model is great, which is why I got it. If you look back at all, I've got quite a few crappy rules models. Did I mention I play Dark Angels

Thanks Knightley. I do most of my painting in my dungeon like room, and usually at night, so they dont get to see light very often. We have rain forcasted for the next few days, so army pics of other 2 may be delayed. I should be up to 1k of IG this week, but will only have 2 complete models

I have to confess they seem to have adapted to the colours of your step like sneaky chameleonic buggers!
