Actually no, it's a dang cat hair... or some such. They're floating all over and I just cant keep them out of my figures. Nearly every figure I make has got a couple of stray hairs on it somewhere. At least you know it's a "Gitsplitta original" that way.

Just getting ahold of that compendium article (all two paragraphs) would be a good start. I'll see if I have a scan of it somewhere... though you might try the Lexicanum... as I recall some of the text out of their summary came from the original article.

Kagume (Or is it Kigume ) looks great, the OSL looks much better there

Also, excellent job on the power sword, looks very cool. Maybe the start of another gradient change near the tip to break up the whiteness there, but then again the real figure is about half the size of the image so probably not so stark in rl.

The plasma gunner looks excellent! The OSL is not overbearing but let's you know that the gun is powering up. The sergeant looks ace as well, great work!

Excellent ols there gits! It seems to get slightly grainy on the very edge of the gun but that could always be the pic!

Yes, just a tiny pen that comes in multiple colors, I scribble on purity seals, banners, loin cloths etc with it. Come in several colors. I use them to make my chapter badges for my Badab era Mantis Warriors too.

Will have to see if Micron pens are here in the UK or have an equivalent. It looks darned useful.

I remember an old WD where they used these kind of pens for blacklining their models too

They're cheap too... hard to argue with.

Hey Gits, Quick question about your micron pen, I find that with my one the writing rub's off pretty quickly or can smudge if I'm a bit ham fisted while moving the model around, do you find the same thing? or does it dry quickly?

No, your observation is correct. You have to be very careful with them or they will smudge. I've found two possibilities, either do the pen as the last task for the night so it can dry for 12+ hours before being handled again, or wait until it is visually dry and hit it with a light coat of varnish. Either way using the pen is always just about the last thing I do to a model, so the chances for messing it up are minimal.

Ah, perfect. Here I was thinking about taking my micron pens back to the store because the sold me some lemons. I've actually stopped using it because of the smudge risk however might jump back into is as a final step in painting. Cheers.
