I think the heads are just too wide. The eyes and "face" of the armor look smooshed.

That's a technical term.

EDIT:

In fact, look at a bare headed terminator and then at one with a helmet. How would their eyes see out of the visor slits?

I don't care about the number of pages - solely the content; that is what I make a value judgement on. Just because it has more pages than the previous edition does not justify a price increase and nor does it validate charging £17.50 for a book. GW codexes have always been overpriced for what they are (arguably the same as the rest of GW products) - its just even more readily apparent now, and will be when 40k codexes switch to hardback and the price rises further. Again, if I were to go into a bookstore and consider purchasing two books, I would not expect a 500 page paperback to cost more that a 300 page one. If that were true then authors would be paid piecework per word written rather than on the quality of their output. Trying to argue a price rise is justified because the page count is increased is a non-argument.
If you think an increase in content does not plausibly, even possibly justify an increase in cost, then I honestly don't know what to say for your critical thinking skills.
EDIT: Actually I do, they suck

You are welcome to quit 40k forever and leave Dakka, though. I don't think you will like what 40k has in store if you are adverse to lowered model prices, increased model options, and increased codex content with exactly proportional price increases.

I'm probably one of the stupidest people in the world and even I get what filbert's trying to say. You seem to be deliberately ignoring his argument in favor of hurling insults at him at this point.

Looking good, the only thing that ruins it for me are the large mags on the side of the wrist mounted storm bolters of the PAGKs. They stick out too much, using the previous mags, as with the terminators would've been better.

It's wierd, innit? I think we're all seeing something 'wrong' with the GK heads, but we just can't work out what's actually wrong with it.

I think it's the lower section - it does almost look like they're made from normal helamets and they've been filed down a little too far, so the head looks like they have no lower face. At least that's the best way I can describe it.

Anyway...dreadknight's terrible, I hate it. Still doesn't beat the plastic derp-prince as far as ugly models go, but it's definitely a contender.

At least the stormraven looks like a Space Marine vehicle, this god-damn thing doesn't even look like it belongs in the same universe. What the hell, that's all I can say.

to make the dread knight better they could have just ripped out the center bit placed the guy in the middle diplaying only his headto should then put some sort of clear canopy much like eldar tanks etc then it would look more streamlined and without the whole nursery baby carrier vibe#

also it would have saved them money on plastic to xD

Man that dreadknight is awesome. I can't wait to loot it. Would make an excellent deff dread. I might even put a silly metal head ontop of it with a beard.

I was just going to say the thing that bothers me most about the model is the exposed pilot's legs. I agree if those are concealed the look of the model improves tremendously.

Draigo:
I must be the only person in the entire 40k hobby that doesnt like this mini at all.
Nothing about him yells "special", "kick*ss" or more "powerful" then a standard GK terminator imo.
The shield is the worst piece and it is quite funny when I was criticized for making "ugly" little skull sculpts when the skulls on draigos shield are even worse.
The text is also pretty bad, like some amateur sculptor attempted to make letters and failed.

Nope, wont be getting a draigo mini in my army unless it´s a gift from a friend.

PA grey knights
What is it with the huge stormbolter clips?
I am so missing the old ammo feed lines going from the stormbolter to the backpack, those really added a cool look to the minis. Now they look like shooting TV sized pistols with TV sized ammo magazines attached to them. That one is a big downer.

The heads are good though and I actually love the teleport backpacks, they add a high tech feel to the otherwise steam and rivet space marines.

Nemesis falchions are a disappointment though, I was expecting curved sable blades, not short versions of the common swords, there is nothing "falchion" about them although they look cool pose-wise.

GK terminators
Apotechary is awesome and all the extra bitz you can customise the squads with are great.
I feared for the warding stave thinking it will look ugly but damn, I love it the way GW did the thing.

dreadknight
Again, I must be with the extreme minority here for I love this model.
It adds high tech feel to what I by now think is a tad to much steam and rivet.
I am sure additional armour plates covering the terminator legs can be converted to make it look better.
My biggest concern is the possibility to magnetize the weapons on the arms, I only want to buy three dreadknights and I want all weapon options to be swappable.

I also predict a massive ebay business selling GK bitz with such expensive 5 man PAGK boxes and different (official) colour themes for PA squads and only 2 halbeards per box at least I will have to wade through ebay to get all I need to compliment the PAGK part for my army.

What on earth has not liking the price of a new codex and range got to do with quitting 40k and Dakka?

When one runs out or arguments to make, one begins to attack the poster. Pretty simple really.

It's what ph34r does to me, so why should anyone else be exempt?

Oh I know all about it. Coupled with a compulsive need to a l w a y s, no matter what, get the last word (read: insult) he makes for a rather amusing little piece of psychological study.
Lets wait and see what his next inevitable counter-must-have-last-word will bring

Gotta say I will be picking up at least one Dreadknight and depending on posability/customisation options I may get the full three, guess its one of them marmite things

Inside your mind, corrupting the pathways

Regards the dreadknight I think I would be tempted to mount the wrist weapons on the shoulders, possibly using the extra girder "arms" to hold them in place, or hold the guns over the shoulders.

Might also be tempted to replace the stormbolter ammo magazines on the PAGKs with ammo belts that loop round into the back packs, or mount them on the shoulders/backpacks as well.

I'm thinking about the Dreadknight. You know, if you were to A) Cover up the legs of the baby carriage, and B) Change the way the weapons are held, it would be great.
What I'm planning on doing with the weapons is making them into a rifle like contraption, and having the dreadknight hold both of them in it's two hands. For the blade, I'd have it in a dynamic pose with the blade raised in the air by both hands, and have the gun mounted on the shoulder.

Exposed legs were cool enough for Ripley in Aliens so they are more than cool enough for Warhammer.

It all looks cool to me but at $33 for 5 models I'm going to have to see the book and find out which stuff is the best and plan it all out before buying anything. In regards to the Inquisitor Retinues most of that stuff can be made out of a mash of fantasy and 40k plastic kits so I doubt we'll be seeing anything more than the random smattering of specialist metal models (like the monkey mechanic and what is already available).
