Any remember about 8-10 years ago there was a small game GW was supposedly developing, I think more on the fantasy side, sort of as a gladatorial game. I think I remember something about in a WD and remember it was hex based movement. Just a thought.

2014 will be the year of zero GW purchases. Kneadite instead of GS, no paints or models. 2014 will be the year I finally make the move to military models and away from miniature games.

Nicorex is right, it is just a sprue put around a figure... Also all the cards are laminated which makes it seem more like a demo game of some sort.
Just out of curiosity, could a totally new Marine chapter be counted as nothing to do with any current armies...? That way if it is Space Hulk it would confirm the no conection to current armies (ie Dark Angels, Ultra Smurfs etc)

The speculation will not end until the revelation. I for one am really hoping it's some type of Dark Eldar update, even though that is looking very, very unlikely from my point of view.

I think all of us are waiting for that fabled Dark Eldar update, but it's like trying to find the end of the rainbow. As soon as you think you're on top of it, it's all just a big lie and you're left alone, crying.

Again.

GW have never really refused to acknowledge that squats ever existed.

The Ian Watson Inquisition War trilogy was published with Squat character intact. The blurb at the front explains why they're currently not present in the game. They've had no problem with Squat armies at GTs.

Squats were dropped from the game because the studio couldn't figure out what to do with their fluff to make them a worthwhile part of the background that was distinct from other, better selling, armies. Aside from occasionally getting exasperated at the same tired old questions at Games Days, GW have never, at least so far as I've heard, had a problem acknowledging them as a part of the game's history.

And for what it's worth, Demiurg aren't Squats reimagined. They're an alien race. The two are completely unrelated, aside from both being short.

The 'Squats' may have nothing to do with the box. In fact at the moment all they appear to be for is Dark Heresy, which I doubt will be in the box.

I would say its a price hike book - 2000 pages worth. The money for it is to pay for the printing.

Otherwise I want space hulk. That would be nice.

At this point, I'm interested either way. Squats would be nice, although I'm still pulling for Space Hulk...

I'm thinking the only problem might be if they're Inquisitorial scale, which would be just about useless in my 40K universe... :(
