The 28th of February is the deadline for bakers to validate your orders and to confirm all your personal information accessing via Gamezone with your baker account. If you have already done this, please check it out one last time. It’s really important for us to close this chapter, and those who don’t do this will miss the first wave of shipments. And we don’t want that, do we?
This is a very simple process and it has a detailed guide on how to manage your account, as well as the next step-by-step video (with English and Spanish subtitles) which shows you how to confirm your order, change it to add more items, use the discount voucher with the amount you already paid in Lánzanos.
If you find any problem, please don’t hesitate to contact us. You bakers are our highest priority and we’re really looking forward for you to be the first to enjoy HeroQuest 25th anniversary.
But more interestingly.....
While we’re finalizing the first video about the rules (we’re really stuck on it, but we’d like to use final components) we have another new for the ones who missed our Lánzanos crowdfunding campaign and want to get the 25th anniversary edition of the game.
You can find in our online store the preorder of this HeroQuest limited edition, which we hope we’ll be able to start sending along with the ones from the backers this spring. With a price of 110€, it is exactly the same box as the first level of the campaign except for the absence of the special FOUNDER logo, and it will be as exclusive as this one; when stocks run out, it will be over. No more editions like this one will be produced and we’ll start commercializing the standard version of the game, which will be known as HeroQuest Classic.
The preorder also includes as a gift an extra miniature to choose from the wizards Zargon and Morcar. Shortly you’ll be able to get them in our online store along with any rewards from the campaign (from the additional miniatures to the modular board tiles, heroic cards or quest book volume II) and other new ones which we have planned for our sculptors when they’re available. Did anyone mentioned Fire, Water, Earth and Air elementals?
Remember that Heroquest 25th anniversary will be published in Spanish, English, French, German, Italian and Portuguese (These last two will be only available under request) with all the printed content (rules, cards and adventures) translated for each language. besides our online store, you can also turn to e-Minis, our official distributor in Spain, or any of our international distributors to preorder the game or to ensure units for stores. You’ll get the gift miniature included in the pre-sale in either case.

Frequently Asked Questions
Mentor Gift vouchers, Heroquest Store,
Every day we receive tons of mails, and although we try to answer each one as soon as possible, I think it’s time to offer you a new list of frequent questions and answers to solve the most common of them all…
DISCOUNT VOUCHERS
Are the shipping costs becoming a discount voucher for future purchases?
Exactly, as is the case with the rest of the products from Gamezone Miniatures Store, the cost of shipping becomes a voucher that you can discount from the total of your next purchase (which shipping will become a new voucher, and so on). The idea is that shipping doesn’t affect you anyway.
Where are you going to put the discount voucher? in the box next to the game?
It isn´t a physical voucher, but an electronic one, which will be added to your account in Gamezone miniatures online store, more specifically in the section My vouchers of the website.
When will I be able to use my Heroquest discount voucher?
During the official release of the game, following the opening of a new section of our online store with all the stretch goals from the Heroquest 25th Anniversary campaign and other new features.
ORDERS
I have already done the bank transfer but my order still appears as pending.
Bank transfers usually take time to clear and are not immediate. The order changes to paid when we receive the confirmation from our bank. It’s also really important not to forget to add the order number we give you when you complete your transfer, to make things faster.
How will be the orders processed?
Although we are producing the backer’s and the pre-sale copies at the same time, backers will be first to be shipped. When they ‘re finished, the rest will follow, including those backers who haven´t done their orders before February 28th (that’s why we insist on it so much).
BACKERS
What’s the limit of characters that I can use in my “inscriptions”?
We really don’t know when the sentence “All these copies will be numbered and the name you choose will be printed inside” became “the inscription” everybody talks about in your emails. To date we have received all kind of requests to customize your copies and we have never refused any of them, except those ones which are too long or that may be offensive. Nor are celebrity names, except when you truly are Definitely, we reserve the right to refuse any message that we could find unsuitable, but in the 99% of the cases you shouldn’t have any problem.
I’ve ordered more than 1 box and I want to customize each one in a different way. How can I distinguish them?
Imagine you ordered a level 1 and a level 3 box. It’s simple. When you confirm your order in our online store, please fill in the “Leave a message” field with the name, nickname or message you want to customize each of your backer copies with, this way:
– Level 1 Message: “Roddy McClacker”
– Level 3 Message: “A game to rule them all”
When you receive your order, each game will be identified in the outside with a label, so you won’t have any problem, for example, if you got a copie for you and another one for a friend.
COMPONENTS
How many doors does the game include?
This was a failure on our part. When we say that the box contains 18 doors and 4 closed doors, is that there are 18 door frames and 4 doors. You can place a door frame and a door to get a close door.
How many miniature bases does the game include?
One for each miniature that needs them. If you still want more, you can always buy them in our online store next to a wide range of components that we are going to provide independently (miniatures, dices, bases…)
What will be the size of the Heroquest 25th anniversary box? where will be placed the rewards unlocked during the level 3 campaign for backers?
The size of the 25th anniversary edition (level 1) and the one from Lánzanos campaign (level 3) will be 57 x 49 cm, but the second one will differ in hight, for all the extras to fit in the box. We already told you that it was going to be special and unique, didn’t we?
That’s all for today, we hope that we’ve cleared up some of your issues. See you soon!

Another new video! Not the rules as I would have hoped, but a prototype piece of scenery.
Spoiler:
I hope this is an old piece that they have only just got their hands on, because it seems a little late in the day to still be knocking out prototypes. Who knows.
Angel Giraldez did a 'wet t-shirt' look for one of the new miniatures he has painted - I'm hoping there will be a guide for it in his new painting book, as I'm sure you could extrapolate a similar technique to a thinly-veiled banshee
As she is a vampire its made easier for you, she can have pale grey flesh rather than usual flesh tones, this will make the shading easier.
Do the google search 'Brides of Dracula' and select images.
The Vampire bride meme is almost certainly the source here, some are natural coloured girls in bridal shrouds, others are very pale. Pale looks better IMHO and is easier here.
Here is why I will try:
1. White undercoat
2. Thinned down layer of grey over the body including the areas coverdd by the shroud.
3. Drybrush shroud white.
4. Very thin inking on shroud and shades.
5. Dryblush exposed flesh with mixture of flesh and white, Strongest near cheeks?
6. Hair colour in strong contrast, probably black. As black is a hard colour to do I might do grey 'Vampirella' highlights.
7. Ruby lips
8. Dark mouth cavity black with just a hint of red and gloss white fangs.
9. Grey/pink/purple tongue.
10. No blood smear, its too hard to get right on a miniature like this.
11. Blood red roses? or Bridal white roses? for the floral crown. Both would work. Wilted roses would also be awesome, but hard to get right.
I think red roses with black hair and white roses for a blonde.
However I am an amateur painter, so a second opinion most welcome.

n'oublie jamais - It appears I now have to highlight this again.
It is by tea alone I set my mind in motion. By the juice of the brew my thoughts aquire speed, my mind becomes strained, the strain becomes a warning. It is by tea alone I set my mind in motion.
Nice to see it swivels, it looks wrong though. The beam of the pendulum should be of modifiable length so that as it swings it descends getting closer. Alternately there needs to be a pulley on the bed so it can be gradually raised.
This is really just a guillotine.

Another youtube video has gone up. It's quite long, but its just someone explaining how the production is coming along.
The main points I've noticed are:
- design (but not production) of every component is now complete
- Gamezone have hired more staff and are running two 8 hour shifts a day to get production sorted
- every single model is quality checked by 3 different people
- They won't be releasing much of the artwork before launch, only the small images at the top of every official update
- The design of the spell cards will not be the same as the images shown in the crowdfunding
- They have some of the 15 additional hero models (pledge level 2 and 3) and will be posting 1 or 2 videos per day to show them off
- The captured knight miniature will no longer be movable and in two pieces, instead they're making two completely separate models (one captured one freed)
- The second side of the modular board will feature flooded corridors, that have their own special rules
- Doors will be made in plastic
- The crowdfunder editions will have all coloured miniatures (green orks/gobos, cream zombies/skellies/mummies, violet vamps, grey chaos warriors, red hero)
- crowdfunded edition will require some assembly for bases and bigger models, 'classic' edition that will go to retail will be usable straight from the box
- when the web store goes live you will be able to buy each individual piece of the game separately (if you wanted a couple of extra treasure chests or if you broke your barbarian for example)
- there will eventually be different designs of some scenery and hero's available on the webstore (hopefully a barbarian that fits on his base!)
- hero's will be modular, with different weapon variations being made available on the web store
- there will be expansions made in the future
- some of gamezones existing miniature range will be converted to resin and will have hero quest profiles created
- miniatures will come in a foam insert in the box
- every piece of scenery will be unique, no duplicates for the two tables/ 4 chests etc.
- Wayland games are believed to be the UK distributers of the game
- board squares a 3cm x 3cm (1 1/4 inch)
-the Orks bodies and heads will be separate, so you can customise how you want them to look
- as a guess, he thinks march/april is a realistic date for completion. but thats based on a visit back in november. so things may have changed
- the bookcases will have plastic frames but resin shelves/books
- the doors aren't going to be movable, they were too fiddly and paint would always come off the inserts so they have switched to having separate pieces for open and closed doors
Automatically Appended Next Post: Video for the portal has been uploaded too....

Another thing I forgot to say, if you have any questions he'll try to respond to all comments that are posted on youtube. and if it gets plenty of likes he'll keep doing more updates in English.
Skull lectern
I like this, and am not usually into skullz because they are overdone. This seems appropriate though.
First of the extra heroes, looks like a cleric/rogue holding a torch.
I really like this model it is versatile as to what class he character is.

I do hope they still release the old captured knight, with his visor shut. I quite liked the idea of making a really old looking rusted armour, as though he was hanging there for years.
I'm guessing a dwarven cleric from the miniatures proportions?
Finally, I would love that lectern as a real piece of furniture, in my front room.

"...and special thanks to Judgedoug!" - Alessio Cavatore "Now you've gone too far Doug! ... Too far... " - Rick Priestley "I've decided that I'd rather not have you as a member of TMP." - Editor, The Miniatures Page "I'd rather put my testicles through a mangle than spend any time gaming with you." - Richard, TooFatLardies "We need a Doug Craig in every store." - Warlord Games "Thank you for being here, Judge Doug!" - Adam Troke
This game cannot get to me fast enough. I only check this thread every few weeks to stop from going insane, but as always thanks for the updates fellas!!! Everything is looking great!
The closed door, a close up of the broken statue that has appeared in the background of some other videos and a pretty neat looking pit trap. not sure if its the normal one or the spiked one that appeared as one of the stretch goals though.
Yes very nicely done. I tried to make something similar for Descent, but didn't pull it off. The high step makes all the different as it shadows out the nearside bevel so it looks like you are looking down a pit shaft from the right angle.
It will require careful shading for best effect but like what I see with the pit, it will see much use in RPG gaming.
