I think that is looking cool.
The only thing that I could think to go differantly would be how round the leg is. I would have thought it to be more rectangle or square beamishness..

Well, I had thought of square legs, but I have more round things to build with. I guess I could look for or make something. Hmmmmm.

the first pic i actually thought about a devils feet... but then with the added sketched up details and the toes i am totally sold on that look...tho it looks huge... have you tried to make a foot print of the two feet next to each other? would that as you sketched it be able to stand next to each other? just asking but that is something that needs to be thought of...


if you make the hinges of the toes to be sculpted to be posed individually then you might be able to later on get some intersting posablities...

I hadn't thought about if the feet can work next to each other. I should do that.

But the hips are going to be fairly wide...it should work. And I can always make the toes oriented to the front instead of off to the side like I sketched them.

So, I have been working on Plague marine conversions for a while now. I know they don't go well with a World Eater's Army, and I may be kicked off Throne of Skulls, but I figure, they have tactical advantages over Berzerkers, and a sound Army leader would use those advantages.

And in my fluff, which is still in the works, the Chief Apothecary was a student of Fabius Bile, and was ordered to research a way to make the soldiers more resilient to damage, and thus came up with a way to make Plague Marines without the direct worship of Nurgle.

I'm not saying Khorne is pleased by this...or Nurgle for that matter, but it's what I'm going with. And just in case the next Codex makes it so this cannot work, I am not gluing on the shoulder pads, just tacking them on with sticky tack.

I am also working on a Squad leader who will have Fabius Bile's back pack, it should be interesting.

When I first went over the white base coat with the green wash, it looked too smooth and cartoony, so I made it blotchy on purpose.

I'll hopefully get some more paint on this soon.

I like it, the spike on its head looks like a mushroom looks nice

even before reading i thought... i bet he did this with washes... weety intorduced me to this way of painting... the gore looks interesting and the pusbags will be ...no i can´t say they look nice... not in a million years ...but a good mini nevertheless...is the yellow part also done with only washes? looks very strong if you consider it was done all by washes! good work mister!

Thanks Big Fish, the spike is actually from the chaos terminators trophy rack.

El Vik, only the green is a wash, the other colors are full on paint, but I kept them light so they would be influenced by the washes. I plan to go over the gree wash with a brown wash. Or at least in areas, to give it a dirtier look.

hmmm... i bet this will look stunning then... brown and green wahs souds like a winning formula!...maybe if you fell like it a bit of red wash in the mix too...

I should get some red wash. Not sure why I don't have it yet.

well being in the hobby now in earnest for about more than two years and only today i got my first bottle of bleached bone... crazy i know^^

They give you nice, BIG bottles too, no stupid tiny pots.

I miss the GW inks. A lot.

Just washes now.

Other companies sell inks. There is no rule saying you can only use GW paints..even in the Golden Demons

lol... but actually it is way easier to me to get GW stuff then any other paint/ wash or ink...

and for some reasons other companies stuff don´t get sold second hand so often as GW stuff... on second thought that might only mean that peeps get rid of their GW stuff on ebay and dumb peeps like me buy them... while the more brighter lads get vallejo paints and such things
