Left work early today, I think I may be coming down with the flu And wouldn't you know it inspiration strikes I am going to add a ornate tower to the ceiling of the plaza. I almost got that for a banner for my Deathwing. You can pick up just the bit on ebay.

The fountain looks fantastic! I noticed some of those pillars in a dollar store a while back so may have to pop in and pick up a couple

Good choice of figure on the top, he reminds me of a misionary of some sort.

Thanks boyohs! The pillars are from Michaels arts & crafts. They are much more sturdy then dollar store ones. If you use them in terrain buy the better ones.

Also whalemusic I already bought the reaper just never used it!

funny, I was going through my bits box the other day and found that reaper and thought that I should use it in my city (which I'll be starting a blog on this weekend)

Feeling better so I decided to do some more work on the fountain. Let me know what you think. I really like it, I am going to add a boarder around the top and add some gravel to the top

the fountain is comming along great , the angel of death thing adds some nice depth.

I think it needs a ladder....so you can use the upper level. Not a fancy ladder but a free standing maintenance ladder.

I like what you've done with it.

You could always add some 40k style drainpipe around the edges, the angel really adds to the scene.

Coming along nicely, although I'm not totally sold on the triangular easel yet, it doesn't quite mesh with the rest in my eyes.

I think a low border around the upper level would help with the 'bare' feeling though.

I like the death-angel, but I don't think it should be directly above the statue. Perhaps it would look good standing on the edge of the overhead platform greeting the fountain-goers.

One statue right above another seems weird to me.

I agree with monkeytroll, a low parapet or similar might look better.

My dome suggestion was declined because (amongst other reasons) it blocked out the fountain too much).

I think your pyramid, whilst it could be cool, would do much the same.

I'm gonna have to go with them on this one, the triangle easel with the death figure just doesn't fit... if you ask me. I think a four sided pyramid might work, though. Also, I think the edges of the roof-platform could stand to be a bit thicker.

Sorry to add a negative to this but yeah a three strutted structure on a four sided building doesn't work very well visually. Try adding a forth strut to see how it looks. In all honesty though I don't think two statues one above the other look overly great.

If you don't run with this idea you could use the angel on the front of a large building.

Alright boyz I am starting to see a pattern here. I am going to do something that I will show you when I am finished, sort of a surprise for you guys.

Ha, no I just paid 25 bucks why would I leave. I am/was watching "Hitch hikers guide to the galaxy", I guess it was just in my head. I am ripping down the top, losing the angel of death and adding a boarder plus a few surprises it is going to be sweet.

Thanks for the concern though, and I am really enjoying the DCM mosh pit money well spent.
