July is for the release of those Empire plastic kits, so Planet Strike might be either July or August.

Awwww yea, my weekly annilation missions are going to get a ton better with planetstrike leading the way

Seriously, the cover looks lovely. Can't say the same for the model next to it.

And yes, random goodies for everybody would be awesome (like a 100% plastic broadside or a plastic thunderfire cannon that's a step cheaper down.... Seriously, 85-95 aussie bucks for such a small little gun?)

I like the Hestan model but the pose seems off. Maybe it's just me or the angle of the shot but it looks like he's about to stab his other hand with his spear.

Why wouldn't you? It's going to be general release.

The only bit about the Vulkan model that I do not like (and will probably change) is the throwing stance. An artifact from Vulkan himself would not be let go of lightly. In fact, if it were me, I'd find a way to fuse it to my hand. The Gauntlet of the Forge looks a little cumbersome, too, but I can let that go.

Good to see Hestan, like the artwork for planetstrike too.

Here's to hoping the rules for planetstrike are interesting...

(In the EPIC version of planetstrike there is no defence from planetstriking Space Marine Assaults, you could have an entire company of AAA Hydras sitting there and they would get assaulted and squahsed...)

Different from current 40k how....?

Yeah, it'd be nice if there was a little more defence against deep strikers other than "Free round of shooting once they're on the ground".

My tactics in planetstrike will be much akin to my regular 40k tactics. Clump up in a giant blob in your base, wait to die.

I love the Guard.

Versteckt in den Schatten deines Geistes.

The problem with the model is that it has no flow or motion to it.

It's looking to the left. He's pointing is spear even further left, and then pointing his gun in a different direction.

I'm sure it is just the way they've put him together, but I think it won't take much to make him look like he knows how to use his weapon.

Agreed with AlexCage: the mkain problem with Charleton He'stan as pictured is the paintjob. The pose is kinda awkward, but with the right basing (leaping off a low obstacle) and no cluttery paint, it could look much better.

As for Planetstrike: NEEEEEEEED THIS. And yes, I hope there are Roks involved!

Infinity: Way, way better than 40K and more affordable to boot!

I can't wait for GD Baltimore now! I suppose May will be a tad early to really get to see things, but here's hoping!

And He'Stan.... not feeling the big pimpin robes. Seems a little over the top for a space marine. The parts, other than the really silly left hand flamer palm thing might work well if spread over 3 different models though.

Honestly, I'm disappointed with their Vulkan. I've seen a lot of conversions for his model and some of the community projects have been a lot better. I'm not sure what it is, it just looks awkward. Maybe it's the things on his spear? I like the gauntlet, and his head looks kinda neat. Maybe it's just the way he's holding it =\
The whole burning lizard on his back is weird too, it looks out of place and just stuck on there. It would have been better to mess around with the backpacks vents or something.

Nuclear: Properly pronounced new-clear, not new-cue-lir. There is no 'u' between the c and l, so stop saying it because it just makes you sound like a dumbass. This includes nucleolus, and all other derivatives of the word.

There are two options with the spear:

1. The ribbons have alot of starch

2. He is twirling the spear.

I am not sure which option is worse..

Yeah I'm actually not going to hate the Vulkan model. It's not horrible, but obviously not their best sculpt ever! Considering how omnipresent he is on tabletops everyone's definitely going to favour their own version or have some grand idea of what the perfect model would look like, but still it's pretty nice.

Besides, if anything else it's definitely inspired what I want my Vulkan to look like. I've always been confused at where the handflamer should be.

Planet Strike sounds exciting, I'm more interested in having new bundles put together. While Apocalypse was nice for putting out large tank divisions, sadly most of the really cool ones have faded away. Hopefully Planet Strike brings some new ones!

Your in a battlefield with the Rhino your Leman could move like. Whats in your hand, back at me, I have it, it's the fire control for the Twin-linked Assault Cannons aimed at you. I'll wait until I see the bare metal (and bitz) on Hestan. There are elements on the model I like a lot, but I agree the pose needs some work. Time will tell.

The model is busy, but I do like the pose/spear. I can see many people using it for the basis of a conversion.

Silly Valhallans, can't they see all the fire on that cover? It must be awfully hot in that winter gear in the middle of a blazing inferno. Nice cover though.

Agreeing with most about the Vulkan. I like the individual pieces, but not how they come together.
