Quality stuff again. Those Dreadfleet ships look nice and crisp, great job.
And it's also nice to see Epic army of this quality here. Especially Tallarans, don't see them around much.
Waiting to see another update here soon

@Cosmic: Thanks.
@VitruvianXVII: Cheers!
@Northern: Thanks, man. I had really lots of liberties with coming up with a colour scheme for those. All the client asked for was something desert-themed without vanishing on a desert table. At some point I noticed that these models actually work like pretty cool Tallarns which is pretty rare in 6mm so I went for that. I relly like that army (otherwise it wouldn't have inspired me to do this display board).
So Halloween is over, I hope that everyone of you is alright and had a fun night, no matter if you indulged in Halloween activities or not. Quite fitting for this potentially hungover day, here's a Space Wolves Space Marine after a particularly rough night out:

Here's an early WIP of an unrelated Techmarine who spent last night overclocking his smartphone:

Here's a proper Salamanders Chaplain:

Another thing I noticed: the abbrevation or what you call it of the Thunderfire Cannon are the same as the one of Team Fortress Classic. Coincidence? I don't think so. But then, "Table for Two" has the same thing going as Team Fortress 2. Makes you think, don' it?

@Commander Cain: Cheers! I think it really comes out well with the mid-green armour of the Salamanders. Hope it will work out equally well on the white Pre-Heresy World Eaters!
Right, the Thunderfire cannon and the Techmarine are essentially finished, I think I'll just give the tracks section a bit more definition.
Hope you like it!

Thanks Sigur, i've been looking for pics of space marine models on the net but keep coming up with hardly anything to see! and now you've popped up that beautiful thunderfire cannon i've finally got something to look at! :-) and I do enjoy looking at it! it's not a model I find to be aesthetically pleasing but your painting of it really brings it to life as a support weapon in the thick of battle, as usual your weathering is superb and my favorite part is the attention to detail on the servo arms of the techmarine, I love seeing the chipping on the armatures, just makes it look like he actually uses them!
Also, great work on the chaplain and the wounded wolve is great! I just can never justify painting a model that doesn't shoot ;-) I may need to hit you up for one one day!
keep it up dude!

@Farty Wiffmas: Thanks very much!
@MakeH: Cheers!
@Commander Cain: Thanks, sir!
@Rogue Wolves: Thanks.
@nerdfest09: Cheers. That Techmarine was quite a bit of work with all these arms. About models that don't shoot: I know, these are always the red-headed stepchild (just like the building of terran in general) but at this point I really enjoy painting anything that actually doesn't hold a gun in each hand (speaking of which - there'll be two lovely ladies of that category coming up soon!). Anyhow, glad you like the stuff.
Guys, I have to admit that I'm really kind of struggling with the last piece...
This is the current state of the Bloody Reaver. I'll try to finish it as soon as possible because I can feel my client clawing at the insides of my skull already (yeah, it's one of those posts late at night again). Really sorry it takes that long. Not really happy with my progress lately altogether. I'll ramp up the speed again, promise.
Until then... oh, right, I'm selling stuff by the way. It's basically a 1st edition Rhino on sprue along with the box, transfers, assembly instructions and all that, a Man'o'War Black Ark of Naggaroth (untouched, with box, masts and sails) and the XXX White Dwarf anniversary model. Cool stuff but i'll never get to do anything with it really so I thought I'd better get rid of it before I get too attached to it and I'm just running out of storage space.
ALSO let's all feel bad about ourselves for never having subscribed to Battlegames Magazine (the spirit of wargaming). The guy who ran the magazine (all on his own basically; tremendous job) announced that there won't be an issue 27. They are still available in electronic form and, judging from the free sample issue you can get online, are a really good read. The sample issue also has a quick and simple Old West skirmish ruleset that looks like fun.
ALSO, have you seen Warlord Games' WW2 Early War Belgians?
Anyway, it's late and I got a ship to paint tomorrow. Seeya later!

The Bloody Reaver is looking really nice so far sigur, its a bit of an odd model as its more rock than ship.
I think you need to look at in a different way to the rest of the ships, its going to have a different feel to it more akin to the islands.
The sails are excellent.

Nicely done Siggy! your last ship is just as good as the rest of them! it's just a touch 'darker' in theme so it may just be sucking the fun out of you to use as a fell wind towards war and death? ..... I could be wrong though!
And the dread is amazing! looks fantastic with those close combat arms, I really like the look of them, it's funny as i just finished my own salamanders dread, you'll have to pop over and have a look in my thread? not as good as what you've done, your blending of the red to yellow on the chest plates did make me go 'wow' and accents the shade of green you chose spot on! what else have you in the pipe for the sallies? how do you intend to do your base troops for the army? as good as vulkan or a tad simpler?
until next time.

@Farty Wiffmas: Thanks!
@Rogue Wolves: Cheers. It's a pretty model.
@nerdfest09: Thanks for the comment and I finally had a look at your painting log again and left a reply. Nice stuff. However I'm afraid that there won't be any troops for the Salamanders at this point. Maybe the client will send me some but for now I'm mostly doing characters and vehicles for the army and I'm almost done. All that will be added at this point (and which I will tackle today) is a Land Raider Archilles. After that, I'll be doing pre-heresy world eaters.
Update!
Look, the Bloody Reaver is finished and her auxiliary cog, the Sea Ghul as I call it, is too! Wahey! This means that the Dreadfleet set is finished. Finally. Thanks for the support everyone. I kind of underestimated the amount of stuff in there combined with the very individual looks of the ships and all that. Quite a load of work, that whole box but it really, really looks pretty in the end so it's worth the effort. :yes: Automatically Appended Next Post:

There haven't been any updates in the past few days. The reason for that is neither any Modern Warfares nor any Skyrims. Instead I've been a.) waiting for some additional materials I need to arrive and b.) working on some competition pieces and unfortunately I'm not allowed to post any WIP shots anywhere on the interweb information superhighway tubing system before the deadline.
Apart from that, I did a bit on my own Nomad fellas:
I think I really figured out the colour scheme of the whole group now which makes painting much easier. Added some more colour too which in hindsight definately was needed.
Anyhow, I hope you like the looks of these fellas. They're still WIP but especially the Alguacil (the light infantry ones) are getting there. I guess I'll have to stop working on Infinity stuff again now and get to do some Space Marines again.

@Rogue Wolves: Thanks a lot! I got quite a crush on these Infinity models actually.
...and that's why you get another two pictures of the same models with just minimal development!
It's mostly the eyes on the Mobile Brigadas and the crumpled-up paper on the base of the guy with the green hair. The idea is that the loose paper is being blown around by the wind.
After I finally managed to pull myself away from these pretties, I got to work on a bunch of test miniatures for that Pre-Heresy World Eaters army I'm doing:
Not 100% finished but as good as. I hope that you like them although I think that especially these won't be liked by some due to the style. Anyhow, let me know what you think!
