Mostly, on my phone.

I'm going to be picky, but not before saying that this is an outstanding piece. My comments are similar to tipios's, but specifically the metal work plates: they're incongruously un-weathered. I'd expect some gathering and streaking of rust and grime, at raised/damaged areas.
But, this is me being picky. It's a beautiful model and wayyyyyy beyond tabletop as it stands. But you did ask

nice Git you know i love the weathered and beat up style of your tanks.

but the one thing i dislike has to be the modeled on checks but that's beyond your powers. it makes a giant difference between them and the decal checks.

and i have to ask you Git where is this tanks license plate? with the mandatory but completely unregulated contest who can make the funniest tekst?

the banner is click able. it takes you to a magical country. if you don't believe me click and see for your self

@fatty: He's got the little grot icon as a license plate. However, if I think of something clever... (maybe I should look at the "competition" we did last time for this), I'll make him a new one.

@graven: Noted, That bothers me too, just wasn't sure how to tackle it. I'll work on it tonight. Keep your eyes peeled tonight for an update.

I really like the tank Git!
But I agree with the checklist made by Arakasi on a couple of points (all the UPs are spot on )
First of all are the rokkits, too clean in a muddy and beaten tank (It may be that they are brand new 'cause the old one have been fired), they just don't blend with the rest.
The writing in English are ok for me, but the green is a strange color, the grots that painted the tank had already yellow and black, why go and find an other color?

I do love the yellow metal plates, they make a proper contrast with the weathering and dirt on the edges and I would leave them as they are.

As I said already: Great job mate!

Well, it seems I'm late to get my comments in. Most of what I have to say has already been said so, not much to add. However, I will make a few comments.

Overall - I really like the tank! Fantastic work, well done I'm sure any one of us would be more than happy to have it in our force or meet it across the tabletop.

Some specific things I really like:

- The colour choices on the rokkits work for me. I like the way they stand out compared to the rest of the model.
- The mud work, weathering and paint chips are great (with two exceptions noted below). I know these are a real time consuming pain to do. Well done for taking the time to do the details.
- The shading on the lenses of the Grot's goggles.

Some areas to improve - some have already been mentioned, but I state them again because they seem to be the most obvious to me:

- The painted checks on the turret vs. the decals elsewhere stand out as inconsistent. Perhaps the resin checks on the turret could have been shaved off so there was space for decals?
- The weathering on the steel plates could use some more rust compared to the rest.
- The weathering (?) on the turrent seems very different from the tank body. The turrent has heavy rust coloured shading in the creases and this is almost non-existant on the tank body. I have the (?) on calling this weathering because it isn't the watermarks or streaks I'm referring to. Hopefully you know what I mean.
- I agree the rokkits should be 'clean' as far as rust and chips go, but perhaps they could have some mud splatters from the drive into the current battle. The launcher itself does, so why not the rokkits?
- Add a schorched effect to the ends of the exhausts and rokkit launcher.

I also thought it would be good to see how this model fits with the rest of the army, because it is quite different in colour from the other one. Some people like a lot of consistency in the tribal aspect of their Orks, others more the rebellious haphazard no two are alike sort of look, still others somewhere in between. I had a look through the rest of your gallery and it seems you sit somewhere in between. So, I think the look compared to the rest fits perfectly. ... Still, it would be nice to have an updated army pic

I would honestly leave it alone on this model. No reason to potentially mess up a perfectly nice mini. My comment should be applied on your next model

Try this out guys. We've just gotten our power back so this work was done by flashlight... hopefully it doesn't look like it too much. I've done my best to address as many of the comments as possible. I've marked up the rockets. The solo on the bottom has kill markings and a blunted nose... that's because it's a dud but the driver likes to use it as a ram. The main rocket has a face on it now, and the others have an arrow with "dakka dakka" written on it and "umie killa" respectively. I re-did the painting on the molded checks in hopes that brightening it up might make it a better match for the decals. Put verdigris on the bronze and rust and oil stains on the moving metal gun elevation mechanism. Also put a little bit of dilute gloss coat on some of the darker mud to make it look wet and increase the contrast between that and the lightest mud.

At this point, I think all I can do is make it worse, so I'm declaring it done. I appreciate all of your great suggestions and hope I haven't actually made things worse.

I'm going to disable voting on the last pic, for those couple of you who voted on it... if you're so inclined please vote on the new pic so your votes get counted.

And now for something completely different...

Here's Big Mek Buzzgob giving the troops a... *a-hem*... "pep-talk". (I know, the picture looks like crap in-line... you can zoom in, it'll get better in the gallery.)

Plans for this army include 4 more grot tanks, 2 more kans, a grot mega tank, two squiggoths (to serve as battle wagons) and a "looted" Mega Dread. And well... more grots.

I think you nailed the missiles! They look a lot more congruent with the rest of the model now, whilst still standing out due to their bright colours.

I'd probably have to look at the images side by side to see the other improvements - I can make out the verdigris - which thankfully doesn't look overdone (always a concern) and I think glossing some of the mud has worked out well.

But then, I probably wouldn't have wanted to potentially screw up what I had before - so very courageous of you and well done too.

Full pic is looking nice!

Tsk. These people with time on their hands, eh? Great job mate, and nice to see you pre-empt your rabid fanbase's request for an army shot. I love the tank now, although I realise that the inside of the klaxons being metal confuses me. Stark white or red maybe? But, perhaps for another day, another model.

I would give that 10 out of 10 but I'm probably biased. I wouldn't worry about the votes - sometimes the voters are just in a bad mood - see something painted better than they could manage and vote it down - I think I once voted someone down cos they were rude about my squats.

I love that little dude with the graph - what page can I find a close up of that on?

Thus, I quote myself...
Here's Big Mek Buzzgob giving the troops a... *a-hem*... "pep-talk".

Imagine a hoard of unruly grots that Buzzgob is trying to form into a mob with a purpose. You gather them together, they gibber, they scream, they start to cap each other off. What is a big mek to do?? Easy, get all your biggest, nastiest weapons & your runt herds, point them at the grots is a show of massive force and if anyone gets out of line... *ka-pow*! Easy-peasy.

And I think your other missiles (other Grot tank, left Killa Kan) could use the same treatment now

Yes sir.

You know, I had no idea how a klaxon would be colored. I just assumed it would be made of metal and the inside would be unpainted. If there are standard "klaxon colors", I can certainly use them.

I'm proxying them as rokkit buggies. If I ever get into a game or tournament that allows IA rules, I'll use them as intended. However at the moment I don't even have the proper IA rule book, so they're limited to proxy status.

Excellent! I always have a squad of Rokkit Buggies in my force and they rarely let me down:

- Often ignored by opponents until it is too late.
- Or a major distraction giving some freedom to other squads.

Got my swap from Arakasi!! This figure is truly spectacular... it's huge and menacing... just like a nob should be. Also, pic was taken with my phone (iPhone 4s). Not bad at all considering. Not perfect, but you could certainly make some reasonably commentary based on the pic.
