Mantic's first Human

Hmm, the arms are a bit of a let-down

Looking promising although the lack of volume on the arms area is making it's hip looking to big in comparison.

I was going to say, if that was one of their first humans I would change my tune about Mantic right quick.

Still, I'll admit after the goblin sprues (having 36 of those sprues lying around the house here) I'm a bit anxious/nervous/what-have-you to see the M@A hard plastic sprues as well.

No, more because I've seen a large number of their "generic infantry" ranging from the Elves and Undead to the Dwarves and Warpath models.

That model is a huge step up for Mantic. If that were a generic human infantryman, I would be all freaking over that.

It really does look fantastic - I'll be getting 9 (I think - it's been so long) of those!

I need to make sure I have the post-it somewhere where I jotted down what I ended up pledging for.

I'm getting 3 from the rewards section, and I wish I was getting more! Wonder if I could email Mantic and ask to trade one BOGO set of trolls for a BOGO of those angels...

Can anyone recall what the tentative release schedule is to be (mainly the order,not necessarily dates)? Is it Ogres we're supposed to get next or werewolfs?

We've already seen the Ogres, werewolves are fully sculpted and should appear very soon.

I am very very pleased that I chose to go with a Celestine force as my additional for this. The Angel looks great so far and I look forward to see how it progresses.

I was talking about more along the lines of them being shipped to me.... Sculpts are all well and good but my "to be painted" pile is dwindling. :-)

Reminds me of the Paladins of Alahan resculpts.
I didn't really follow this campaign, are there human sized equivalents planned?

^ Yep, list of all the new sculpts can be found in the first post, Celestians are getting 6 plastic units and a bunch of heroes, including human paladins (on foot and mounted), men at arms, warrior nuns and battle cats.

They're taking their own unique direction for fantasy humans, but the models will still be useful for other stuff. In particular Sisters of Sigmar for Mordheim finally get some new models.

Sometimes Mantic really delivers. Must be why I just bought another $300 worth of their stuff on top of the stuff I bought through their two Kickstarters.

Too bad they insist on releasing occasional duds to keep us on our toes.

And I'm pretty sure everything that wasn't delivered this year (the already-released figures) was due to be delivered in Q2 next year in one big block, rather than dribbling in as they're released.

Given how great all of the new sculpts from the Kings of War KS has been so far, I eagerly await more previews from this line!

Quite Happy that I am getting quite some extra Celestians as rewards for my level.

I wish I was now too!

Still, once they hit retail, I'm sure they'll still be a good deal compared to... other companies' efforts.
