Good job on that arm, and you're right, the profile definitely looks orky now

Silly me, for some reason I was only thinking of a poseable elbow, should have realised you'd go for wrist and shoulder too

The arm is amazing. That it is so posable is epic win. I like the PKness of it too. Also, excellent use of new and old trukk bitz.

I think I will have to hold you responsible if I ever buy one of those kits.

Say, have you thought about what to do with the chain-ankle bit of the "underside"? It just occured to me the chains (and the imagined mechanize that works them) could be used to launch fightaz or koptaz from the shoulders.

I Like it , when you said power claw before i thought you were actually going to scatch build a power claw like thing based on the up scaled ork boyz one. That said this is fricka frakin awesome as is, so it does'nt matter that much.

(i think the cc arms shoulder would be a good place for any super rokits or grot bombs you might want, it just looks like thats were they would go to me)

Remulus: Thanks! The grots use the ork codex, with a few ork units tossed in, but represented by conversions.

here's a megagrot (=meganob):

And here's a burnagrot (= burnaboy)

And this is my warboss in mega-armour:

If you want a list, you can find it here.

Gitsplitta: Thanks! The thumb part may serve as inspiration for project W

Anung Un Rama: Plasticard building is about geometry and patience. With orks, it's also about an extensive bitzbox

KingCracker: Thank you! Turns out the stompa kit is salvageable after all

monkeytroll: I'm quite glad with how he's looking like a big greenskin . Turning the head into something grotty is pretty much impossible though; a big nose and ears would look really silly. And I kinda like this face . The wrist and shoulder is just to see how far I can push it before physics come around and bites me in the rear end

The Good Green: Thank you, now let's hope I can keep the posability. The weight of the forearm is definitely an issue here, I'll have to weigh down the shoulder bit a lot. Due to leverage, I'll need about 4 times the weight of the front arm... And for the record: no trukk bitz involved, just a few BW wheels and BW roof bitz. Still, the trukk is a cool piece of kit though, don't let that hold you back .

I'm intending to use one of the chain tracks for the grot rokkit launch area, but I'm still figuring that bit out. For the second one, maybe a movable lookout post with a big shoota? Launching rokkits/deffkoptas with the chains is an interesting concept though - I'll have to keep that in mind, thanks!!

This is always a cool article to check on, I'm really happy to know your back to it. Love these grots man, your army makes me endeavor better painting on my own gretchin. They thank you.

King Cracker: thanks!

Gitsplitta: thank you!

Runna: Thanks, and you stated exactly why I came to dakka in the first place: to improve. So: make those gretchin proud!

Now, for some less good news: while I was fiddling with keeping the elbow movavle, my stompa cc arm broke at the elbow. And I'm out of glue . Still, it's not all bad. After I got a little tantrum out of the way, I realized the bond wouldn't have been strong enough to withstand transporting and gaming with it. So, I had a bit of a rethink, and my second attempt will involve a big nut and bolt straight through the elbow, tightened to prevent it slipping. I'll also use the rubber bands put inside hoses to prevent it slipping. Hopefully, i'll be able to put up pics tomorrow.

In the meantime, here's some pics of the head. I should be able to fir 4 or 5 grots in there, after I built up the inside. Painting it is gonna be hell though...

Also, I painted a bit since I was out of glue, so here are some WIPS:

I like the blue and orange contrast on the rokkit buggy, quite striking. Now, it's off to bed for a goodnight's sleep. I hope to get back to you with an improved stompa arm - and some glue

Now, since I'm stocked up again on glue, I fixed the arm up - it can even be put in different positions now . I also adde some smokestacks. basic shape is done I think, bar the top. For the cc arm and the legs, it's detailing time.

Some piccies, one with a grot for scale:

side view:

And one of the inside of the head. It's shown with a based grot here to give you an idea of the size. I figure 3 or 4 unbased grots should fit in there:

Now, it's time for detailing and the topside!

That's all coming together in a most impressive way

The top of the head looks pretty interesting, although I think you might want to put the 'inside head' shot up rather than just re-posting the previous pic

Fixed! . The top of the head was quite a hassle, since I had to bend the plasticard to fit, and then match it with bits to keep it in shape. Still, it's getting there and I'll add some more stuff so it fits even better.

I certainly hope so . I want to add a grot in a seat, being all princeps-like. And probably a grot hanging out of one of the eyes eithe rbeing held or pushed by another grot. And maybe a tech-grot? And a snotling up to some mischief, of course

That is looking superb. You certainly do have your work cut out, painting wise... unless you can take *cough*rip*cough* that face plate off? So that it is easily replaced, of course.

Taking off the faceplate is quite hopeless, I'm araid. I have, hower a kunnin' plan . I'm just going to assemble and paint the models outside of the stompa, and add them once the inside has had a nice, weathered coat of orange. Problem solved

Now piccie time! I finished my buggy, so I figured I'd show you. I'll also be adding it in Arakasi's trukk rally, of course.

It's fantastic and I want one. I think you should add some kind of plates to the caves to make them look a little tougher and maybe a little sturdier. This models is going to really add to your army!

MeatShield: You can convert one . What do you mean with the 'caves'? But, just to make a point: buggies are AV10 open-topped, no need for sturdiness .

This models is going to really add to your army!

Yeah, I feel like redoing my two older buggies now... The conversion work on this one is definitely on another level... That's what you get when you do over a year on one fast attack slot

And a cyberdakkagrot for waagh dakka:

showing of the kGB (Kustom Grot Blasta):

With the squeaky waagh, I definitely wanted a grot for waagh dakka. This model represents me, ready to 'upgrade' a model and rummaging to all kinds of crap for useful bitz . The big gun is there because in shooter games, I like either heavy firepower or sniping, so this blasta does both. For those wondering: the little grot is made up of 25 parts + gs

The main question is: where will I add the danger stripes? Maybe on the legs? Or the right shoulder pad?
