@Moltar: Thanks very much. I think that the head on that MkIV dread is a little lower than it actually should be so the eyes are a bit more hidden. Unless would have made them the focal point of the model with a mighty bit of OSL ther isn't much else I could do to make them stand out more.
@Cutthroatcure: Yup, but to a relatively small proportions.
@Eggroll: A mix of ground glass, water effect, GF9 snow and a bit of white paint. But if you're looking for something that gets you really nice snow as well, try bicarbonate.
@Gitsplitta. Cheers. Yeah, that avatar definately looks more like "you". Really fun and crisp picture and the 45° angle rounds it all off.
@bigfish: Many thanks. I wasn't sure about the rather simplistic design of the banner but it turned out nice and somewhat fits Space Wolves. The yellow recipe on that one was kind of wild and different. Turned out almost looking like oil paint.
First WIP of the Assault Ram:
...atypically without a background, mostly because I wanted to show it on the flight stand and with that added it's even bigger. QUite a brick of resin, that thing. Hope you like it so far.

@Cosmic: Oh yes, it is quite a brick. Thanks!
@Gitsplitta: Well..it actually was more fun to paint than I thought it would be honestly. It's all but pretty but it was quite fun to paint something of that size.
@Captainsolstice: Cheers. Yeah, the Assault Drill is a pretty sweet weapon.
Hey, the Assault Ram is finished! Sorry for the lack of proper backdrop, I just couldn't muster a proper one at that size at the moment. ;-)
The pictures are a little big for Dakka. If you want to see them in their original size, please have a look at my Space Marines Gallery on my blog/website.
Let me know if you like the model, C&C welcome as always. Next up: a bunch of Space Wolves bulldozer blades, a Forgeworld Dreadnought Drop Pod and a Blood Angels casaulty marker.

@Vitruvian XVII: Thanks muchly! Have you become part of the Mat Ward Defence League or is that just a case of individual mahnluv?
@Rogue Wolves: Cheers. I'm not sure it it makes all that much sense but whatever: Space Wolves probably are the kind of people who would drive their assault rams through a mountain.
@whalemusic360: Thanks. For me, these flight stands tend to hold pretty firmly due to the +-shaped base of the clear part so glue works really well. If you stil have problems you could try pinning it a bit (and sticking some modelling putty on the inside of the base.
@Meph: Thanks very much for dropping by and commenting. Yeah, all that scratched weathering is a pretty nice way of breaking up a large single-coloured brick.
Today we got two quite different single models on 40mm bases.
First, a Blood Angels causalty marker for all these various Marines armies I painted recently. Maybe a Blood Angels army will be added to that army as well in the future:
...and the finished version of Will Scarlet, the Red Squirrel:
I mentioned it before but I'll post some infos on this model: I got it for Christmas as I basically went about squealing and raving about this model for most of November and December 2011. Really fun model by Dark Sword Miniatures (who have really cool stuff amongst their ranges and also sent me some free stuff because the order was delayed :p ). The model is about 30mm in scale, doesn't come with a base though but they all have cast-on little stands which are kind of basic bumps of textured ground. In this case, he's got one foot resting on a tree stump which immediatelyreminded me of the little dude in A Link to the Past who sits on this massive tree stump, playing his flute to the animals ...oh, it's so tragic. :(
:p Anyhow, I hope that you like today's models. It's a bit of an "odds and ends" kind of update. Next up will be the FW Drop Pod.

@nerdfest09: Thanks, glad you like it.
@MrMerlin: Many thanks.
@Moltar: Cherrs, thank you very much. Maybe the next one will sport a moustache. :p
@VitruvianXVII: Thanks!
@Reaper Man 2020: Cheers. From what I read the parts go together quite well.
Here's a few WIPs of the Drop Pod. Very interesting model. The doors are massive plates of resin which has advantages and disadvantages. Advantage: They stay closed when standing upright (not a thing all the plastic drop pods do ) but be careful when opening. If you open one of the sides and it's got no ground to fall on to it will just rip the things that hold it right off. I highly advise the use of a rubber band to keep the doors shut while painting this thing.
Anyhow, I hope you like it so far. Week has been a bit busy. That's busy aside from painting stuffs. Probably other people would call it "really relaxed". I don't know. Er....happy weekend!

@Dysartes: Good question. I think I will go for a chipped, cracked and faded paintjob.
@VitruvianXVII: Thanks.
@King Thor: Thank you. Wow, the BfSP set... it's been a while since I painted that. Sure, I'll post a picture of my painting setup some time in the future (It's just not very exciting, I'm afraid). As for things I'm doing whilst painting...well, that varies. TV, videos, podcasts, audioplays. Stuff like that. I avoid music mostly while painting but classic musik works fine though.
@Cutthroatcure: Cheers!
Update!
Only news on the metallics really. Spent most of the time weathering and refining the metals. Sorry about the somewhat sucky picture quality. I guess I still suck at working that new camera. Let's just say that the metallics look better in real life.
