Legoburner has added some functionality to the site. If you look at the bullets on the left side of the screen. When it has a new post from the OP of the thread, an asterisk (*) shows up above the bullet.

Raider mkI is looking great man. How do you get the gradients on the panels?

Not really a hiatus, just a couple of really busy weeks where painting time is unlikely.

Gradients are done with an airbrush... very easy process.

Nice way to get someone disinterested in posting thanks a bunch.

Speaking of posting, i finally got some paint on my Kill team So i know the feeling Gits, just cant wait to see more of your stuff!

I can't wait to get cracking again... these two projects have been a long time in the waiting! But... priorities are priorities. It is only a hobby after all.

Got just a little bit of work done. Did a bit of gentle highligting and washing on the tracks to give them some depth.

Oh yes, details to be added... and chipping & weathering. This is far from done.

I'm just pondering where to go with the tracks. I really love the way the brown compliments the green... but I need to find an excuse for the brown (or more specifically, carry the soil color onto at least part of the rest of the tank). I'm debating powders (which I'd have to go get), or a very light airbrushing of the hull around the tracks... as if dust from the road was getting dragged up and discoloring the hull a bit.

If this ends up looking good, I'll probably go back and retrofit all of my vehicles with a similar color/weathering.

The model looks great, already, but with the battle damage you plan to add it will look fething amazing like the rest of your stuff.

Decals on...

I like the brown tracks. They look almost ceramic.

Looking great. Maybe use a Tamiya Mudstick to really get some texture into the mud lodged between the tracks?

Do you print your icons or paint them? They look great!

I made the originals, scanned them and just print them out as needed. I also have a tendency to paint over them once they're on.

It's looking great Git's can't wait ti see the weathering, I'm going to be using the powders on the battlefortress I'm building... I'm a bit nervious since it'll be my first real attempt in using them.

Not sld yet on the brown. I thought it would have been better in a steel / black. But since you have a way of turning stuff into gold, I'll wait till the final result and be overwealmingly convinced!

Great model Gits! love what you've achieved with it to date! I vote for a light airbrush of brown along the track and lower hull, I think it would compliment the painting style well and still fit in with your other models :-)

Hmm... I think I remember some where reading or seeing some type of splater effect by useing just the air from a airbrush to blow on paint from a brush or something... not sure if that is something you would want to try or not...just figured I'd throw that out there though.

I'd go with the airbrush of the hull... It's what I've done on my Night Stalkers, and I think it looks great...

You could go back to all you vehicles in one painting session, I swear !! (And you know how slow I paint...)

Looks interesting, i still cant love that form of tank.

Got the tread pins painted... gives the treads some interest.
