Got the new rules today!

Early observations:

- Love the fact that the rules, etc are split into 3 separate books.
- The new boxes for the psychic and objectives cards seem really sturdy and well built.
- Have just read the first section, but it seems much more tightly written than any recent rule book. We'll see how that holds up as I go.
- Total for books and card boxes: $110 US

As Memorial Day approaches, I wanted to thank those of you who are brave enough to serve in your country's military, specifically those of you in the US Military. Looked over the demonic powers that the Imperials have access to. Everyone can unbunch their panties. They're all protection powers, many that you'd recognize from other psychic disciplines in 6th. There are no "summon demon" powers in the discipline.

About the new rules, .......they are out already, blimey! Well I might actually think about maybe .....nah! who am I kidding, don't care, just love do build toys.

So somehow GW managed to get my attention by splitting the books up. As a non-gamer I'm far more interested in the other two books. Fluff book sounds good, as long as it's not entirely written by Mr Ward......what's the 'art' book like?

Is it just crammed with pics of studio minis, or are there plenty of interesting conversions and some actual artwork in there too?

Sadly, the Art Book is only filled with Mantis Warriors and Orks.

Well, there might be some interest in the Orks I suppose

@mt: I'll bet you can pick up those other books off the net. There will be folks who are really only interested in the rule book and will be looking to recoup some $ on the other books.

Finally had the chance and the motivation to do something. Dust talked me into a GMS swap, so I put together a tactical marine for him. Nice thing about the GMS is that since they're one-off pieces they don't have to match my existing schemes. Gives me a chance to use a few of the really cool Mk-7 marines I have accumulated that I just can't use for my own army. I dug around and found this guy... I think he's a captain judging by the laurels... but since Dust just wanted a tactical marine I equipped him appropriately. I like the way he turned out. Beautiful figure (my conversions non-withstanding).


Hopefully, paint will ensue in the next few days.

Finally struggled through ~350 pages. I don't really have anything to add, except to add some general wishy-washy support for the project. Thanks for the read and I look forward to another few hundred pages (though i may need to have a sit down first )

@tigerstein: Thanks for your support & welcome back! I hope you'll find a few good projects in the time you've been away. Things have slowed down a bit from a few years ago... but I'm still plugging away on them.

@quaggy: Gotta tell you... I checked your post just after waking up this morning from my phone (was still in bed at the time) and your "sit down" comment really made me laugh. What a great way to start the day! Con't believe ANYONE works their way through the entire blog anymore... but I'm so glad you did!
