We played a pair of games tonight which were a total blast. Although I think we messed up on how the zombies deploy but it made the game even more intense and might become our new house rule.

Basically we were under the impression that each color block was cumulative so if there was 1 zombie in blue and 2 in yellow if you were at yellow we put out 3 zombies at each spawn. By the time we were hitting red there could easily be a dozen zombies at each spawn, but we also had two red zoned characters with chain saws which was incredibly fun.

I picked up an abomination level pack and had the extra set of the minis. At orange stage we got close to running out of minis, once we hit red zone we couldn't field any where near enough walkers or fatties, which triggers extra movement phases for the zombies and made the game quite challenging. Zombies were distrbuted as evenly as possible at spawns until we ran out which triggered the extra moves. (always starting with the spawn closest to the exit)

It was probably a misread of the rules but dang was it a blast and if you want a really tough games use a second set of minis with deployment being treated as cumulative.

We played each round as an extension of the previous, first was the introduction campaign, survivors gained 5 experience and kept their ready weapons and current level, then all other support cards were removed so that they'd need to find the food resources for scenario #2 as normal.

We're planning on continuing scenario #3 as such, with almost every charatcer in the red zone it's going to be absolutely brutal on the deployment.

Love this game, it's a hit with the family too. We got horribly killed in the first mission and everyone looks at each other and says "let's go again" at the same time... that's a good game.

It's not officially defined, but we know that it gives you two molotovs each time you combine a bottle and gasoline instead of just one.

If it makes you feel any better, my brother's copy has apparently been sitting in Kennesaw Georgia since Friday.

Of course, that probably means it'll pop up in Puyallup tomorrow with five days of intermediate stops suddenly backdated into the FedEx tracker.

Fair enough, thanks... thought I was missing something. As soon as I can quit playing it I'll start painting a set of zombies...

yeah,
Well I can't say I'm happy about any of this.
We all Paid up front for a preorder, floated the company $700,000 so they can buy stock.
They've started selling that stock retail style before they've sent out all the preorders.
That's just greed.

One guy challenges them and they basically call him out 'if you dont want to wait 2 weeks for your abomination pack ask for refund and go buy retail!'
What a bunch of pricks.

Technically, we gave them money so they could fund their project. In return they said they will give us stuff. Not that they will give us stuff before they start selling it to the rest of the world.

I believe that the original estimated delivery for the first part was November, wasn't it?

Do we know for sure that this has happened? I assume they will sell some at GenCon and certainly can't fault them for that.

Having said all that though, I am slightly annoyed that I don't have my new toys yet... (Hey, I'm human. Lol)

If they really made that comment, that was a bit crappy.

Personally I think you would have way too many zombies (if that is possible).

The discussion is going on over on the KS page. A little heated, but there seems to be an issue because CMON, wants to sell the game at Gencon. It spilled over into the Sedition Wars thread as well.

I say they can do what they whilt, because the two projects are completly different. BUT I do say that there is a definate lack of info coming out of CMON on Sedition Wars.

On one hand, I have no issue with a guy making bank, we all have to, but when they promoted as hard as they did, then kinda went off on another tangent, it kinda begs the question if they can handle the truth or not.

The comments that Panic refer to are halfway down the page.

I think the complaint from Panicis obvious, in any normal situation you would expect advanced backers to be given preferential treatment and not Joe Average punter.

In this situation where they are selling at Gencon (i'm guessing?) I sort of accept and understand it, being the big trade show of the year.

I'm not so happy with preferential treatment for US backers though. If they only had time for a percentage of orders they should have pro rata'd this to all markets.

True it may well ship prior to the advised ship date but it still sticks in the throat a little, it not being cricket and all that.

I'm confused about this.

I got my copy over the weekend, but wasn't the Kickstarter listed as shipping out in September? I mean, you bought into the Kickstarter to help fund their business and to get something in return. The business you helped fund would result in them selling copies at the biggest gaming convention in the world, right? And it isn't like your copy is late or anything since it's still August.

At least this isn't someone from Australia complaining, because boy do those guys get into every GW thread ever to complain.

Well, what's done is done, all we can do now is hope that customs doesn't feth us sideways.

Also, what's this I keep hearing about the t-shirts not being available until the end of the year?

Apperently, this was the discussion from CMON that fired people up.

"What it means is that we will have copies of Zombicide for sale at GenCon! We are bringing 200 copies of this fabulous survival horror boardgame with us to the show! We are going to sell 50 copies of this great game each day at the show, so if you want to make sure you can get a copy of this game at GenCon you HAVE to move quickly and get to our booth early on!

But wait...there's more!

It is no secret that Zombicide did amazingly well at Kickstarter, and everyone who managed to support us at the "Abomination" level or higher will be getting a bunch of extra miniatures (30 extra!) as they begin to ship out the extras package. To celebrate how great the game did and how well supported it is, we are going to raffle off five *free* Abomination upgrades to five lucky Zombicide purchasers each day! Every day at 4pm we will be raffling off one of these amazing upgrades! That's only 20 upgrades over 4 days! A rare oppurtunity!

These things are going to fly off our shelves to be sure, so don't miss out and get in line with the rest of the teeming masses at the Cool Mini or Not booth at GenCon!

Zombicide could be in your hands in just 6 days!"

It's not that people are annoyed because the game is being shipped "late", people are getting annoyed because Americans are getting the game sooner than everyone else, even though everyone else had to pay a not inconsiderable amount extra for postage (and likely will also have to pay customs fees as well), for the apparent reason that they want to ship things out to the ROW customers in less packages to save on shipping... which we have already paid extra for...
