Unfortunately, they do not really CAPTURE the feel/look of Firefly. I mean not-mal? His face/expression makes him look more like a generic sci-fi smuggler than anything else. Definitely a bit more effort needed put into the facials here

Based on what we know about the not-Sam Jackson from Zombiecide, they may have been forced to make them look a bit less like our beloved serenity crew.

Think I'll be going with coloured squads and numbers like DaveC but will only be using one card for each model type instead of each figure, with an extra card or extension listing only fig number/colours and health, this way you are reducing the amount of cards needed drasticly for figs like low level strain and vanguard and will cut down on time spent searching through decks for the right models card.

Played 4 games of it so far. Only did the first campaign mission. Was strain once and Vanguard 3 times. No one really took any crazy stuff, as the strain is limited and vanguard need bodies. Only won once out of the four with the vanguard, and just barely. Thus far it is really balanced model wise on hitting and wounds, ect. Over all lots of fun and hope to start the painting process.

Some issues with it i had was the rulebook, the warping, and keeping track of whos who.

For the rulebook is vauge on a lot of things and really jumbled around. The game really needs a quick reference sheet. I feel the Vanguard and Strain sections should have been two little mini books seperate from the rulkes so each player can read it and have it infront of them.

For the warping, it was odd. Opened in my house was fine, went to play it at the game store, same tempature and some parts curved really bad so I had to semi bend them back. They seem to be getting ok now after a few days of constant bend back.

Keeping track of who is who is the hardest thing I feel. The best way I can think of is get X ammount of paint colors for each side and put a slash or a dab on the card and paint the ring around the base the same. Anyone have any other ideas? Id rather not paint the cards. In the last game the strain had 13 guys out so with only 3 model types, gets hard ot keep track.

My plan for tracking the figures during game play is going to be a painted or decal number on the back of the stand with a corresponding number on the card. Because I sleeved all my cards in clear sleeves I can use a grease pencil to mark the card without actually marking on the card itself.

I’m sure glad GW is going to all plastic, so the ever-rising cost of white metal won’t impact the cost of their miniatures.

Finally got it. So lucky, the parcelforce dude turned up 5 minutes after i got in from work.

First impressions it all looks great. Models look nice the cards look good, Rulebook looks ok (the quick glance at the fluff revealed it to be average at best) Love the infection counters. Tiles are nice, even if they arent all the same size.Definitely a miniature game though i would say. A lot of clean up and assembly ahead of me (althought the mould lines aren't that bad in all honesty)

Mini quality is way ahead of any other board game and for true 28ml plastic is average to good miniature quality.

Overall well chuffed. Shame it'll be a day or two till i get the first game in,

Anyone else notice the game cards flip top to bottom whereas the bonus cards are left to right?

They could not copy the crew 1:1 for legal reasons and also unpainted minis never give you the final look a mini has.

I'm starting to get slightly paranoid that UK backers are receiving their orders whilst, I, a fellow UK backer have not even received my tracking details yet. I also can't find my final order and address confirmation email from KS. I have gone onto the KS site and cannot see where these details are stowed, any ideas where I would find them?

In the pledge manager, I click on the Sedition Wars link, then there is a "shipping" section with my name and address. And above that is a "shipping tracking" section, with a link to a PDF with my address and contents for shipment 1.

What do you see?

Thanks for the help Slinky, it shows the correct address and the Pdf confirms this, the order is also confirmed...the company, tracking number and url are all blank, I suppose I just have to be patient a bit longer.

On an Express Elevator to Hell!!

Got my tracking number although it's come through hotmail as 'failing fraud check'. Also has the weight as 0.1lbs and some dodgy grammar in the email has raised my suspicions. The tracking number also comes up as 'not found' on UPS.

Am I being overly cautious here or is this indeed an extremely badly timed email virus?

You should end up with 2 emails, one from UPS itself with clickable links, and one from CMON with just the number so you'll know it's
right

My UPS number arrived at about 2pm, and didn't go 'live' till about 5.30pm

I don't know how well these close combat characters are going to work. It's just too dangerous! Not that the strain are monsters in close combat, but they can infect you with every hit. Its much easier for them to infect you than to actually kill.

Why do the heros have such bad armor compared to the regular troops? Your average soldier has 17 armor, but most of the hero's only have 15. Yes heros have the displacement field, but Samaritans in prophet armor get the same benefit mostly. Doesn't make sense you would give important characters such poor protection.
