Slight problem. I kind of got wasted, flew into a drunken rage, and smashed all the furniture in my bedroom. It's not all that uncommon out here, surprisingly. But uh...it's gonna be a while before I've picked up all the pieces of everything and sorted out my work space again.

Well....as long as it's only furniture and not anything that was actually in the work-space...like Melvin for instance.....

Melvin is smashed. I think the wires are still connected to the base, so it might be salvageable. I've just barely started to clear a path through all the broken gak, so I haven't even checked yet.

Ouch, that's rough. Broken furniture can be replaced, it's a pain, but replacable.....and further down the line becomes a story. When models and their ilk become collateral damage it sucks.

Honestly man, from your previous posts, you seem like a dude who's pretty chill, so it musta taken quite a bit to get you to *that* point.... I just didn't really post about it, because i hadn't come up with a way to express that without seeming like Dr. Phil.

Sorry if anything I've said or done offended. I can't speak for others, of course, but you have my apologies, at least. I can't imagine how stressful it must be to be stuck in an alien culture for so long.

So now let me ask as one stranger to another, "What caused you to get drunk and break stuff?"

Pretty much what Sin said.

The short version is that I've been on permanent night shift for almost 2 years straight with little to no human contact at all. The pressure finally got to me on the one night when I could finally relax and let go. I felt like crap, tried to feel better by drinking (my one available night to get drunk in several months) and that just made it worse, and next thing you know I'm seeing red and looking for something to break.
