Oh, that song! By the way if anybody is curious about it the real name is "the Warrior Song". It's made by a small group in the US. They did a version for all the different branches (Army is that one, they did a Marine one, Navy, I think they released Air Force at some point).
Just a fan of the song and like credit where it's due.
And whenever I think IG I always think "Price of a Mile" by Sabaton. Pretty much the theme song for Krieg soldiers but applicable to pretty much any of the Emperor's Finest.

Thats a bit too much techno for my taste OP. Call me a classicist
This will define all of your armies awesomeness in one piece of classical music, also check Holsts' Mars
and the most manly of all manly marching songs, is Scotland the Brave, just imagine your forlorn Tanith 1st and Only arriving on planet with this music
And if you really want something more modern, you can;t go wrong with Starship Troopers, its the closest thing we will ever have to a real Imperial Guard Movie anyways!

Spent a lot of time thinking. It had to have vocals, sound grand and intense. It had to portray a sense of huge scale and eliminate any sense of individuality and so forth. It even had to have an ending where it quietens down at the end for the casualties after the climax. I dont know but I think this is the guard song really.
You put the link in "youtube" tags, the same way you put a quote in "quote" tags or a spoiler in "spoiler" tags.
Anyway, I haven't really thought about an IG theme song, though listening to everything posted here, I don't really like any of it aside from the Starship Troopers song. Everything else ranges from terrible to not feeling remotely 40k-ish, lol.

I hate all the metal crap lol, orchestra is 40k to me in my opinion. but its all opinion. Anyways cheers for that. I learnt something today
Yeah, the metal stuff is what I thought sounded terrible and the orchestral stuff mostly sounded out of place for 40k, other than the Starship Troopers theme which I thought sounds fitting.

Reminds me of how much I loved the guard in DOW 1, they were actually pretty dangerous, especially with their arty, and were only second to the Necrons and Chaos. Only race in the game that had actual good arty, compared to the piss poor excuses of all the other races (with the monolith being the only good BFG in the game, but that was due to their insanity in the lategame).
Spoiler:
IL2 Birds of Prey's soundtrack also works well for the IOM in general, from the Adeptus Astartes to the Imperial Guard.

“There is only one good, knowledge, and one evil, ignorance.”
Nothing says 40k like a dozen violins all playing in tune, except maybe a hundred taiko drums.
Actually, Juno Reactor has some good tracks. How's this one for a Tank Battalion?
This one's a bit technoey, but I figure it kinda fits the Harakoni;

well, if we want grimdark chorus style things, this is fitting for the imperium in general.

Last time I faced an IG player, he pulled this out on me O_O by no means befitting of the IG, but hilarious
Should have listened to that warning before the video...
How are you guys embedding the video like that? Mine come out as links
I suddenly want to see guardsmen riding grizzly bears into battle. That would sell some Calvary models!
"I don't have a good feeling about this... Your mini looks like it has my mini's head on a stick..."
"From the immaterium to the Imperium, this is Radio Free Nostramo! Coming to you live from the Eye of Terror, this is your host, Captain Contagion, bringing you the latest Heretical hits!"
And of course video with whole context (and beware, its finale of movie Glory, so its spoilerish as hell) Uphill charge with bayonetts? What else could be IG?
Being optimistic´s worthless if it means ignoring the suffering of this world. Worse than worthless. It´s bloody evil.

"Put your 1st best against you opponents 2nd best, your 2nd best against their 3rd best, and your 3rd best against their 1st best"-Sun Tzu's Art of War
"If your not winning, try a bigger sword! Usually works..."
It's these lyrics in particular that make me think of the IG:
They say that we ain't got the style We ain't got the class .... But it goes in one ear, and right out the other, People talkin’ sh*t, even though they never bother, It goes in one ear, and right out the other, People talkin’ sh*t, they can kiss the back of my hand!
You hear that? You hear what's coming? Oh, you better run for the hills 'Cause we're coming to your town And we're gonna burn that motherf****r down
