So in an hour and a half is a BTP live show on MWG. Not sure if I'll be able to catch it, but it will certainly be a tense one.

http://www.miniwargaming.com/tv/2 or somewhere else on MWG. I should say that I don't know what the content will be, just that it is the weekly BTP live show on MWG.

I think they use Twitch, just embedded. It has chat in their shows.

I really would not bother the BTP live guys. It normally is one guy painting in his home while talking with his buddies about Warmahordes and Warhammer. Really nothing much to do with the studio other then the name.

Tenebre, could you post your master instructions for us to read? I have just finished mine and send them to BTP, and I extensively wrote about every little detail that I had planned for my army.

You talk about it in your second video but its not clear to me if you just listed a few colors and posted the images, or gave specific instructions they should pay attention to?

An example of this would be the gore, which in your second video you listed as a major point of dissapointment. Were there any specific instructions to paint gore, or was it just that bit of blood on the weapon of the picture in the book?

He can correct me if I am wrong but that may not be a good idea for legal reasons? I am not sure I am not too good with this stuff.

Also in the video he made it pretty clear he wanted it to be bloodier than a Saw movie and if you have seen Saw, that is a lot of blood, bone and sinew everywhere. Not some mere dabs of blood.

I dont think there are any legal reasons stopping him from posting it. Its just a word document they use for reference when paitning/assembling your stuff. It doesnt even have any BTP copyright or what have you in it.

Also in the video he made this clear yes, but I am just wondering if he made it clear on his instructions aswell. Im not trying to blame the OP, because it cant be his fault since he had send atleast 3 mails to BTP about things that needed fixing etc. But I also want to see if we should cut BTP some slack depending on how specific the instructions were. BTP might be a lot of things, but mind readers is definately not one of them.

There's nothing preventing him from doing it, but if he is pursuing legal action against BTP, posting it may damage his case.

Yeah, I don't think they needed to be mind readers to not do some of the things which were in direction contradiction to what the OP clearly wanted

I wouldn't mind seeing the documents, either, but you can get a lot of this from the videos in which he reads his requests to them over and over verbatim, etc.

from the video, the only things I thought were directly from the document were the colors and him showing what pictures he had send them as reference. And we know what the OP clearly wanted now, but my whole point of wanting to read the document is to see if BTP knew what he wanted at the time.

If it says all of the stuff he says that he wanted in his videos right there, then its a huge flaw of BTP indeed. But if its just general colors and pictures, I think we have been blaming them a little too much for getting things not exactly how he wanted them.

A good example on this: In my master instructions document I showed them a picture of someone who had painted some rusty rivets on his Typhus. And specificly asked them to paint any rivets in my army like that.

I read it verbatim in the video. no reason to repost it as i read it word for word. And as i said in the video it was prefaced and concluded with "Please have the artist contact me before starting to discuss his ideas of how to convey the look i want"

This... and I asked weekly to talk to him. Once i got someone on the phone and Said i was promise to talk to the artist and they replied "We never do that, we show the client the army once its entirely done" I sent them the email which said they would and they stated "sorry you misunderstood"

please bear in mind my videos only cover a SMALL amount of the problems as i was trying to remain calm.

Had I been told i cud not speak to the artist or that i cant see Work In Progress pictures i would NEVER have done a commission with them.

can you show us that email where they told you you could talk to the artists?

Im sorry that im asking you for this much "evidence", but having to re-watch a 47 min video just to hear everything again and taking your word for it that its really what everything says. Thats just not how I think these sort of things should go. But Im sure these things will be 100% cleared up once legal action has been taken anyways, so you dont have to show me anything anyways.

I don't see why you would consider BTP as a painting service M0ff3I when you are across the pond and have better access to better painting studios more "local" as in not across the pond. I'm sure that other studios would work harder to prove that they are worthy of your project and have better practices to make sure the client is happier than BTP.

Here is the email. I will not entertain this type of nonsense any further. I happen to have this available as it was printing for the lawyer. If you think I am making this up because i have nothing better to do with my time or my buckets of expensive figures then i dont feel the need to respond to you.

see below (also as stated in the video I wrote have the artist contact me on nearly every line)

Seems pretty clear cut to me. M0ff3l are you satisfied? And of most interest to me - are you getting concerns about your own BTP commission?

tenebre, I would like to thank you for bringing your experience with BTP to light. As I said earlier, your video, and threads created relating to it, are the first results in a google search. Up until this point that was not the case, and this led to people thinking that everything was good to go. Even if BTP worked with you in a solution that both parties agreed to, It still shows that their practices are not for the betterment of their customer base.

TL: DR Thanks tenebre for sticking to your guns and being level headed over this.

Yah. that's one of the things that is confusing to me about why M0ff3I is so dead set on blue table painting. Like I can understand why someone in north america would consider them, over a European studio. (Even thow their are better north american choices) But why would you use them over one in Europe, and not have to pay a arm and a leg shipping back and forth across the pound?

For those who don't know Infinity, the chick there, she's a Japanese Spec Ops. character in Infinity. She comes paired in a box with a character from the Scottish faction. Blue Table Painting, obviously just painted her as another Scott not realising that she's from a different faction. (I could be wrong, the client may have requested it, but there would literally be no reason, even as a proxy she'd look extremely out of place and I'm pretty sure an ITS tourny wouldn't accept her.)

off topic but.... Is that a Hakama tarten? That is very confused looking. The yellow also looks really bad.

It always came across to me that Blue Table Painting never realy "got" infinity.... If that wasn't by the request of a client, it's pretty blatant now that they don't....

I play Infinity and.. .wow. I mean I could see people wanting to swap up stuff but I think that would offend any Yu Jing players and Ariadna players. It is their job to ensure they are at least getting basic models right. Obviously we need to know the full story but I find it difficult to see why someone would ever ask for that. Its more like a sad pun on the figure.

Wait.... wait! I know what it is, she is from the Dire Foes pack and they just made the entire pack Ariadna and ignored the fact shes Yu Jing! Oh man that is hilarious neglect!!
