Very nice Paradigm, your painting skill improves day by day ... probably helped by you painting more in a week than I do in a year

Here's a WIP, but I need help! This is the first ork I've made that wasn't wearing a shirt, and the space between arms and torso is appalling; the next one will be wearing greenstuff suspenders. What would you do at this point? Fill in w/ green stuff, prime and then paint over? Try to fill w/ paint? Save me Dakka!
(Also, I noticed I'm not in the list of entrants).

You could give him a bandolier and basecoat it with GW's hand paint undercoat.

@Gulgog: Sorry, must have missed your Proof first time round. All fixed now! For the gap, I'd just fill it with a little GS, wait for it dry and paint over. Not the most professional way to go about it I'm sure, but it'll save time and look fine.

Speaking of Goons...

I'm having a dilemma. Mister J is definitely going in my entry, but I'm not sure if I should a) run him solo, using all the pics to show him off, b) enter him and Harley Quinn with one shot of the two of them then a couple of individual shots each, or c) enter the whole crew, then use my remaining pics to show off the interesting bits.

Joker and Harley:

The Crew:

Note that in either case, these aren't final pics, I need to do things like neaten up bases, get some better lighting and maybe add some thematic 'annotations' like I did with the Joker pics... Thoughts?

I think the two principals are your stars. The others are neat but they don't add anything those 2 don't already have in spades.

That is the direction I'm leaning in. It allows me to show off more of each model, is easier to photograph and they're probably the best painted of the lot. I also have another Harley to paint up before the end of the month, the newer one, so I may well use her if she comes out better.

Speaking of which, if anyone has anything to suggest about either Joker or Harley then I'm all ears. This will be the first entry of mine in a few months where I think I have a fighting chance (having not seen the competition yet, which will no doubt be excellent), so I want to make them the best I can. Be critical as you like!

Gotta agree with Gits- Joker and Harley. Classic pair. They stand great together and have a lot more....oommph (god, i hate that word) alone

My only crit/query is why are all the chequermaks different sizes?

it's been a while since I played any of the Batman videogames, so apologies is that's a thing.

That was a combination of wanting to emphasise the randomness of the crew and sheer inability to keep them the same size and thus lack of any attempt to do so. I may well revisit it, though I do kind of like the effect.

I think if they're going to be different, have them "warping" with clearly curved edges, like one of Eddie Izzard's backdrops.
Otherwise across a crew, it looks a little strange (and not good strange). For two it'll probably pass though.

Love it! Especially the glowing pumpkins and kitty.
The themed flock is a nice touch as well.
