Spoiler:

Pretty, but still odd that they specifically have power lances rather than Guardian Spears. At least the spears would make the Sweeping Fire rule useful. Eh, you don't use these guy for the spears/lances anyway, you use them for the beautiful las weapon.

I'd prefer the Guardian Spear over the Power Lance for another reason aside from guns. The Lance is S +1/User AP3/4 the Spear is S+1/User AP2/3.

Custodes are NOT marines!

They are Stormcast Eternals with bolters......I kid, I kid!

Jetbike looks really neat. It looks like he has buckled pants/chaps instead of armor on his legs?

So he does. His leather gauntlets also reach further up his arm than his brethren.

Sweet!

I hate how much I love the custodes vehicles as I really can't stand the army or the infantry models.

Now thats a cool idea! Not only that but with the smooth surfaces of the jetbike its wouldn't be hard at all to cut some chaos embelishments out of plasticard or add brass, resin, or plastic iconography to really spruce it up for a Chaos commander. Heck you could easily stick a Gargoyle head on the end of that from cannon and make it look good with very minimal effort. hardest part would seem to be getting rid of the imperial details on the back of the seat but you could just marr then and make it look like its been painted over with ruinous symbols.

The enemies of Mankind may employ dark sciences or alien weapons beyond Humanity's ken, but such deviance comes to naught in the face of honest human intolerance back by a sufficient number of guns.

They look great but they're horribly underpowered compaired to other Custodies choices.

Heavy bolters are a mark of shame in 30k when soooooo many other weapons are better- good luck doing much of anything with them. And seriously, one simply doesn't protect the Emperor with a heavy bolter.... and there aren't' enough zap shots to make it worth it.

They're still mobile and have that second firing mode that kills things dead. I don't think they're as bad as you think they are.

They aren't mobile: Heavy weapon and no relentless. Secondary fire is a good weapon, but with a 12 inch range and you can take a troops Custodes with the same gun built into their spear for the same price. At such close range, being able to charge after or fight a countercharge is important.

Being bad for a Custodes unit would be fine in the context of how good Custodes are, except for one key detail: Your model count is so low that you can't -afford- to have dead weight.

Agreed. That zapper looks great on paper but 12" is pretty miserable. Not being able to move & fire is bad. Not being able to penetrate in a low model count army is problematic.

Spear is better hands down.

Very cool, though I'm a bit sad that the bolt pistol Moritat doesn't seem to be an option. Hopefully the rumour that it isn't going to get released is not true :/

The Tyrant siege terminators are fun – I'm looking forward to the legs coming up on bits sites in particular

The Sagittarum looks great, but feel underwhelming in the list. If only they were relentless or something.

On the flip side the jetbikes looks great rules wise but I'm not keen on the models. The way he's holding the lance, I can't help but think he'd get cramps about 10 minutes into flying the thing. Were does he rest it when not charging?
There OK, but not as nice as the ones from the visions of heresy books with the imperial eagle on the front.

it's the quiet ones you have to look out for. Their the ones that change the world, the loud ones just take the credit for it.

I'm sure power armour can 'lock' in position, so no strain on the body inside to hold the lance like that forever

I really like the terminators, but I don't like that paint job for some reason.

Moritats look great of course, thought it was funny that they painted them in the colors of the Angelus Legions, hopefully a hint of things to come in the near future?????????

But why do Iron Warriors get Cyclone Missile Launchers on 30K but none of the Loyalists (so far, at least) get them?

Those Moritats look pretty sweet. Do they get any sort of special rules for the Plasma Pistols that make them less likely to delete the model? Otherwise it is Volkite all the way.

Fulmentarus. Guilliman created them based on the Tyrant Siege Terminators.

I like the Terminators, but £60 is a lot.

And yet, CSM don't have them despite being the original operators. Bizarre.

So can the notion of all the best troops dying on Terra and the loss of institutional knowledge held by that corps when too many died... inability resupply terminator armor and cyclone missile en masse.

Or simply, fluff created 15 years ago for 40k and no effort being spent to update it based on the growing 30k fluff.

The siege tyrants have a dirty NMM paintjob that doesnt really suit them.
I'd rather see them done in classic silver and grime.

The moritats look more John Wick than John Woo, and thats a great thing.
