Pft! Anyone who got Assault Squads back in the day has sprues and sprues of the Bolt/Plasma Pistol arms. I have a drawer of them...just need bodies and jump packs.
I don't know whyet anyone is moaning about moritat price when he's the same.cost as the blood angel jump pack chaplain and same modelling principles...
Not that I play bloodbowl, but is anyone else just sick of GW making so many of their models precariously balanced just to be fancy or show off sculpting? Like seriously, why does every model have to be perched up on a rock or, in this case, somehow balancing on their hair... Give me dynamic but reasonable posing!
Maybe I'm in the minority here, but models designed like the two red-heads dwarves seem to be so overdone by GW in the past 2-3 years.
It works on some models, such as the cool Dwarf Slayer model leaping from the rock, but it is starting to be done despite it making no sense from a design perspective; those slayers standing on their beard hair is perhaps the worst example of it which is a shame as the rest of the squad is nice.

They look great but they're horribly underpowered compared to other Custodies choices.
Heavy bolters are a mark of shame in 30k when soooooo many other weapons are better- good luck doing much of anything with them. And seriously, one simply doesn't protect the Emperor with a heavy bolter.... and there aren't' enough zap shots to make it worth it.
They still look awesome, and like most things in the Custodes part of ToE I need at least 1 squad/unit.
Lovely models, very retro in the static front on poses but there's a lovely amount of details in the armour.

You know most of the armour is the plastics, yeah? Heads and arms are resin.

Completely agree, what could have been an interesting design element where warranted is now so common as to be cliche (almost parody) and feels shoehorned into some sculpts.
I do have a pet theory that it's a subtle way of combating recasting, as what is still a perfectly strong contact point in plastic becomes a very vulnerable break point when remade in more brittle resin.
That might be crediting GW with too much cunning, but it's undoubtedly an issue, whether intentional or not.

They did an awesome job with that contemptor. Some of them look like they took the plain dreadnought and put a few emblems on it. This has enough detail to make it really stand out.

Castellax are pretty nice. Contemptor is pretty good, heiroglyphs are nice.
Any of you know whether it's true that FW said Fires of Cyraxus would be delayed until next year at Adepticon? My source is very, very reputable, but I'd still like to make sure.
Peregrine - If you like the army buy it, and don't worry about what one random person on the internet thinks.
Love the dreadnought and psy-bots. My only complaint is the wrist mounted khopesh blade. Really wish they'd just give them a proper hand holding a big sword. If they can do it with Custodes contemptors, why not do it with others?

They need their fingers free to do the magic fingers as they use their psychic powers. It's more AWESOME that way.
