Could be that they have some rules that allows for one "Special" unit per Kill Team or something like:

Space Wolves - Thunderwolf
Guard - Ogryn
Eldar - Wraith
Astartes - Terminator

I would like fenrisian wolves and wolf scouts.

Probably one box of each.

This is interesting, think it gives us a good idea of what the squad selection rules may be;

- 1 leader - likely a sergeant
- 2 specialists - has there been any mentions of how many specialisms there are?
- like the killteam demo tournament GW did a few months ago- If you take a special/heavy/sergeant, you will have to take the min required standard troops before you can take another- So if you take a tac sarge, you'll have to take 4 standard tac marines until you can take another sarge. The question is, will this stop you taking just a sarge from each squad type? or just a sarge and a special weapon?

So you could possibly take- An intercessor sarge, intercessor with grenade launcher, reiver sarge, tac sarge, tac marine with special weapon and a scout marine

Somehow i cant see this being the case- maybe a cap on squad leaders?

The Space Wofl team has 3 specialists beside the leader, actually: Demolitions, Sniper, and Combat Specialists. Then we have the Leader, and finally 2 grunts. To me it appears that you can take at least those three specialists, no matter what else is in the warband - obviously a Leader will always be required.

Should be ten of each, yes. It's just the normal kit, not one specifically made for Kill Team, and unlike some newer kits that give you sprues that make the same five guys twice, Skitarii and Neophytes sprues can't be split up like that.

Sorry i missed the CC specialist. And yes, overall one killteam leader, i meant it will be interesting to see if you can take more than one of each squad sergeants, for example it looks like he has a reiver sergeant (who is the overall leader) and an intercessor sargeant (to take advantage of the power sword and CC specialism)

The prices do not look too bad. £80 for the starter box, £25 for the rulebook, £37.50 for the teams + scenery boxes.

Prices are actually pretty reasonable on most of the stuff (I can't comment on the new terrain yet). I know GW is pretty notorious for overvaluing the pound, but the prices between the U.S. and Canada are pretty insane for the starter box. 80 pounds is about 105 USD, and they are charging 130. Regardless at 130 USD the box is still a great value and I will be picking one up, but it would be nice to not pay such a steep non-UK tax.

I can't find anything for £80 exactly on the UK site, but it's close to Baneblade prices, which would put it somewhere slightly south of AUD$165. That's a fair amount for that price.

Can't wait to see the AUD$230 price on pre-order day.

Bad news I'm afraid. It is the same price as Alarielle in both the UK and Europe so it will be AUD$225.

None of them say "Intercessor Sergeant Close Combat Specialist" or "Reiver Sergeant Leader, all of them just say Intercessor or Reiver. That makes me wonder if Sergeant options are available to all squad members.

"Special Weapons Gunner" as a separate category from Guardsmen... Does that mean that Guardsmen can take only lasguns (maybe shotguns)? I'm getting more and more curious as how Kill Teams are built, as it seems to me these two could have easily been the same category with additional wargear - and that while the Nob for Orks appears to be an upgrade! Curiouser and curiouser.

Also, no Ogryns. At least my wallet is saved there.

Also,

In Kill Team, the Astra Militarum can easily outnumber their foe with plenty of infantry. You’ll be able to absorb losses to your squad that would be devastating for anyone else.

Along with Gretchin being an option, I'm getting more and more convinced that 10 cannot be the hard cap of models for every kill team.

I wouldn't necessarily read too much into it--remember that Special Weapons Squads exist as a thing.

That said, you're likely to see stuff limited to certain units and models taken from them. I.e. Special Weapons Gunners can take stuff that standard Guardsmen can't, while Scions can take a Volley Hellgun that the SWGs can't.

TN/AL/MS state line.

Thought they said everyone gets 4-6 options? Are they leaving something specific out?

True. Definitely getting more and more intrigued, though!

They actually said 1-6 options for every team. I'm guessing that for example Deathwatch will only have 1 option

Their list of faction previews is in a peculiar order that would be best explained by being their preview order. Didn't notice it until today (crap, my CWE aren't until much later), but it'll be interesting if that's actually the order they use.

I'd be surprised if that happened. They'd have to leave their beloved Primaris out after just adding them to the Deathwatch codex. How likely is that?

Thanks, I'll be here all week. Try the veal.

I'm expecting Warlocks to be an option, if only because Eldar are one of the two factions where having zero psyker options would be really weird (the other being Thousand Sons, who will almost certainly have the Aspiring Sorcerer as its own datasheet).

You're forgetting a faction. Its okay though since GW forgets about them constantly. Grey Knights will nearly have to have psykers unless they make massive changes to them for kill team.

I wonder if AM will be able to access heavy weapons somehow. Maybe by combining a special weapons guy and a guardsmen?
They mention heavy weapons in the preview, but that could include sniper rifles.

Well, guard is a tremendous let down.

Blood Angels, Custodes, Tzeentch, Alpha Legion, Astra Militarum, Deathwatch, Thousand Sons, Imperial Knights, Tau, Genestealer Cult.

I have a problem.

Heavy Weapons Teams are made up of two Guardsmen, so that could just be it.

It also could just be that they include things we players consider specials.
