Why would they, when the game is designed so that you can't use more basic dudes than supplied in one set? Well, it's not clear from the datasheet that they showed that you can't get more than one unit of “Nitch's squad” but it would be like having multiple Celestine (which was actually allowed in RAW at the beginning of 8th which was hilarious), and from what I got, for Kill Team both side are already full with the mini in just one set.
'Cause people might want to use 'em as Scions/Guard, or actual Poxwalkers, rather than what they are.

That's kind of what it's going to be (although avatar wasn't my inspiration). I've got ventilation modules and stuff coming and the containers are being joined together.

By the Way did someone mention that there is a female trooper in the squad ? The overflowing Pigtail out of her helmet would suggest it ;-) And i like the Cigarre in the hand of the other trooper...a lot of female stuff and a lot of character.

Yeah; from what we can see, the 'regular' voidsmen look pretty cool and varied despite all wearing the exact same uniform. Can't wait to see the 360-degree images tomorrow.

If it wasn't cost prohibitive, I'd field a guard army based solely on the Voidsmen models. They look more Imperial Guard than the frumpy, doughy Cadians (what a gak design...).

you can always use them as an astra militarum kill team, it just needs some converting and trying to gather enough of the voidsmen models

Yeah. Which is freakin' stupid. Games Workshop needs to take the shackles off their creative design team and just make a game people can enjoy and customize (you know, the entire appeal of warhammer 40,000 and why people are willing to pay crack prices for plastic toys)

"Got you, Yugi! Your Rubric Marines can't fall back because I have declared the tertiary kaptaris ka'tah stance two, after the secondary dacatarai ka'tah last turn!"

"So you think, Kaiba! I declared my Thousand Sons the cult of Duplicity, which means all my psykers have access to the Sorcerous Facade power! Furthermore I will spend 8 Cabal Points to invoke Cabbalistic Focus, causing the rubrics to appear behind your custodes! The Vengeance for the Wronged and Sorcerous Fullisade stratagems along with the Malefic Maelstrom infernal pact evoked earlier in the command phase allows me to double their firepower, letting me wound on 2s and 3s!"

"you think it is you who has gotten me, yugi, but it is I who have gotten you! I declare the ever-vigilant stratagem to attack your rubrics with my custodes' ranged weapons, which with the new codex are now DAMAGE 2!!"

"...which leads you straight into my trap, Kaiba, you see I now declare the stratagem Implacable Automata, reducing all damage from your attacks by 1 and triggering my All is Dust special rule!"

Yeeahh...without seeing the Gellerpox stats and setup, it seems less like the Shadespire Warbands for AoS and more like the introduction for Deathwatch via Overkill.

Elucidian Starstriders seem to match up pretty closely with how Kill-Team Cassius was setup and I'll be surprised if Gellerpox Infected isn't setup similar to the Genestealer Cults.

It's being billed as an expansion to Kill Team from the outset, so I doubt it will have the rulebook or be self-contained.

These new killzone board(s) look smaller than 22”x30”. Any ideas on the actual size?

I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if the "voidsmen" end up being the basis for new guard infantry kits in the new year.

Might be able to print some 3d walls. I'd take a look at Safeways or if you have a local university with a printing lab in your area, that can be a cheap alternative.

Yes, do some conversions, and come on down and join my old IG army that was physically mangled by a GW judge and then told 'Now they're OK to play'.

So, pardon me if I still have some negative feelings about that. I was never so overjoyed as when I heard that GW was no longer running tournaments.

You say this, but I've seen someone buy enough Deathwatch Veteran boxes to create ~1200 points of Minotaurs, and that was just the Space Marines.

He sold a lot of those kits, but for like $20.00 and then tried to piecemeal the bits out.

I want you to process that for a moment, because I quit. That's just enough math to make me regret doing so many drugs in high school.

Well, they've been implying that Rogue Traders might actually see a mini-dex.

I'd be surprised if they form the basis for a new Guard Infantry kit, given that the artwork for Guard of late is still Cadians.

Rogue Traders are more likely to be folded into an Imperial Agents codex with Assassins, Inquisitors and Sisters of Silence/Adeptus Telepathica.

Assassins have plastics, there'll be more Rogue Trader plastics in Black Fortress, there'll be a Kill Team Inquisitor supplement next year with new plastics, so there'll be enough plastics out there to support a codex of characters plus retinues plus a handful of units in what will have to be meant to be a codex to mix into the soup.

Looking at the sprues, I'm very happy to see the heads for both the rogue trader and assassin seem very easy to remove. The regular gellerpox mutants have separate heads too so, if like me you don't like the tin heads, you can replace them. Lovely.

Yeah glad to see the Rogue Traders head is a separate piece all be it with the arm attached I just don't like the veil so a head swap should be easy enough.

Wow it's light on plastic for the same price as the other Kill team box - 4 sprues total 3 unique - terrain is given twice.

I think we might see a "Voidsman" kit for an Imperial Agents/RT Codex.

And the shrine and shuttle maps are very cool.

You know, at first I was like “Well, I guess he is just using the more expensive DW vet kit rather than the tactical kit”. And then I remembered that DW was the all-star marine team and therefore must include like 1 or 2 minotaur shoulderpad and I was like OMGWTF!§§§§!!

Why would you bother buying that much DW stuff to get Minotaurs pads? Was the guy not aware that bits sites exist?

Or, and not to put too fine a point on it, just buy one or two and then cast your own bits?

I can assure you, that each and every one of you guys made a very specific facial expression when you read my post. You all made the exact same facial expression. And we all know it.

I don't have an answer for you. But I will say that that facial expression? From the moment he showed me what he'd done, through the entire presentation process, down to the moment he wandered away to go into some distant segment of the FLGS gaming area and his voice faded into the dozens of others... I had that facial expression.

Those questions you asked? And more, mind you-

I came home that night and didn't lay awake, I genuinely sat on the edge of my bed asking those exact questions- I think at one point, I shouted the question out loud.

And you know what the worst part of this is?
Spoiler:

Each and every one of us can think of someone who's done something even dumber and felt absolutely no remorse or regrets about it.
