Anything Eisenhorn will have to drop on an article the day it happens.
I don’t think GW would be able to keep that out of news outside of the geek circuit.
There’s a lot in the tv/movie fandom that do research and follow studios and all that, so I think the news would come out there.

I’d just like an announcement of a network picking it up, as that’s the best first step.

They got funded for a whole season, this is the last release for the season. This game release come with more kit this than the usual Specialist Game, and the pacing of the release was much faster than Titanicus.

Where is tat info from?
That it’s funded for a season, and what a season entails?

They got funded for 5 factions : Imperial (AM + Navy), Ork, Tau, Eldar, Space Marine. So this is the final release (Eldar and SM probably still got 1 or 2 more plane to come) before GW would decide to continue the game or not. This game cost more to produce than Blood bowl, Necromunda and LoTR combined.

Where is that info from? Interview/GW livestream. where is interview? Somewhere in the AI thread

Yeah, don't think anyone would ever buy Superheavies for Apocalypse sized games just for a gaming night at the end of an Edition
but if those units would be useable in regular 40k, there might be enough people buying them so we can get a plastic kit at least for the smaller ones, like Baneblades or Knights......

You've read into it a bit, they never said they were "funded for five factions" just that they had five factions planned - that could mean that they were only funded for 2 factions initially and then were funded for three more later, it could mean they had funding for eight factions but only had 5 in development while they figured out the other 3, or any number of other scenarios. Given production and design times involved, etc. the decision to fund anything beyond the additional 5 factions would have already been made long ago.

Also, worth pointing out that Space Marines could also be considered Imperial (just like how Guard and Navy are one faction), which means there is possibly still one more faction to be released.

I see the point you make, but both Aeronautica and Titanicus are games that require a game of vastly different scale. HH and 40K marines are at least compatible in that sense.

Unfortunately I don't think AI was a big success so I'm not expecting much if anything after this. It makes me sad because the original AI game was really fun and with some minor tweaks could have been a good quick fire tournament game. Unfortunately they really messed up the rules when they compressed the scale and put it on a hex board such that it's no longer a terribly engaging game.

Hopefully they do another run but with the rules the way they are, even as an aircraft enthusiast I'm mostly buying it for the models rather than to play games.

Sure, and my reply may have been a bit facetious. But I do feel like it's a bit demeaning to dismiss Horus Heresy out of hand "because you can just play space marines vs space marines in 40K." I mean, I guess I could, except that there aren't any rules for the space marine legions in 40k, and Horus Heresy as it's own game system already has a huge library of existing rulebooks. Nevermind that in my opinion, 9th has all the subtlety of a sledgehammer and lacks a lot of the nuance and granularity that makes 30K a fun game for me to play.

Glad we finally get marines for aeronautica, will buy a bunch to go with my epic space marine chapter. Maybe, just maybe we get plastic thunder hawks as well (even if they are tiny ones)

it's the quiet ones you have to look out for. Their the ones that change the world, the loud ones just take the credit for it.

Whoever did the cover art for the Wrath of Angels box seemed to think they were painting a Battlestar Galactic fighter. That does not look like the same plane as the model, even allowing for a liberal side perspective rather than overhead.

Today, it’s the turn of our boxed games and we have MASSIVE reveals for:

Massive. I don't think that word means what you think it means. Granted, this was the biggest preview so far, but that's a _really_ low bar.

From what I've heard AI has done decently well. It wasn't the home-run success that Adeptus Titanicus was which supposedly outsold its projected annual sales in a matter of minutes, but the murmurings I've heard suggest AI was profitable.

Agreed. I suppose one could ask should Kill Team share the same rules as Necromunda or vice versa? One has battle hardened warriors that focus on military focused goals while the other has gang members who could crack under lesser conditions but have more freedom to use their initiative.

That’s heartening and I expect Eldar and Marines to be big sellers. Marines especially with the Heresy crowd and the possibility of players coming up with extended campaigns using different systems. Expect to see those marine aircraft in legion colours! Definitely looking forward to these. For me, this has been the best for reveals so far, with the Delaques included.

I thought they were pretty unique. Why do you not like them? Though I guess I'm focused more on the guy with the heavy cowl and the matrix thing.
