won´t comment for now on the whole birthday issue atm^^ all in good time^^

the GS forming stuff is a nice thing to have... i saw their stuff on some excellent works around here on dakka...

also you should consider to pay zinge industries a visit.... he does flexible amobelts and many other cool bitz by himself...
http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/349840.page#0

could be quite cool additions for you too...

the current status quo with your titan looks very good mate! i myself feel atm largly drawn to get my hands again into some scratchbuilding myself... possibly a little smaller than your current project but a walker nonetheless... got hold of some plans for an ATST and an ATAT...i will try to steampunk them up a treat to fit my needs...

Thanks, everybody. The pose won't change. I think hte knee pads just need to be lowered. That link is fantastic, Vik. I subbed him and bookmarked his store. Gonna order some cable bundles and chain soon.

Tell me how this prototype for the weapons servitors looks:

Kinda worried it doesn't look right but hopefully paint will make it look better to me. Sadly, though, I will not be painting this on. It's loyalist anyway. My Nurgle one will be a different story, though.

Ok, so these are the first boxed models I have ever built. Go easy on me. They are mainly pretty stock and devoid of individuality:

Possessed Chaos Space Marines:

Some really standard Khorne Berserkers:

Land Radier:

Rhino:

All together now:

Still need to build the 15 Choas Space Marines that came with the battleforce, but a buddy of mine is gonna help me with the weapons loadout. Lots to learn, still, about putting these things toghether and a lot of cleanup, sanding and filing left to be done on these but I am on the way to owning my first Army!!!!!!!! Yeah ME!!!!!

Nice! Congrats on the Battleforce! Don't worry about the Berzerkers looking bland...I mean, what can you really do to them? There is not a whole lot of room for customization. I am adding different shoulder pads, and switching all of the chain swords for chain axes, but that is about it. And the axe thing is purely an asthetics choice. And the shoulder pads is to differentiate the squads.

And the possessed? I have only ever seen them online, I want to make some, but I will have to convert them from my old metal space marines.

Anyway, the vehicles look great!

And the Servitor looks ace! More cables will look good too.

Awesome stuff man!

Thanks, SonofRuss, That would be cool. I think that loyalist would take better care of there servitors, though, and really wanted some buff dudes in those slots. Kinda my take on the whole hard wire them in thing. I don't think that the fluff says anything about the servitors getting replaced often so I am assuming they take better care of them than, say, a chaos warband would.

Thanks, Vik, I had a great birthday and my oldest turned 18 yesterday so that was a big party, too.

Yes, but not this one. I am building a twin to this loyalist Reaver that will be Nurgle and a CSM army to field it with.

Yeah, I added a bit more cables. Pics to come.

OK , so got some (should be read little, yet important) work (should be read menial and tiring) on the rivets done. Not a whole lot new in these shots but it means that I am ready to spend the whole night making weapons mounts. I am really dreading making that carapace mount as it will have to be balanced enough to hold the weapon straight and still stay in place on the Reaver. That could get interesting. lol, anyway, here are the shots:

Ok, so, hit me up on the details. I know there is something that I am missing. Let me know what it is and I will check into it. The details is all that really needs to be done on the body now, anyway, besides the weapons and main carapace scroll work so before too much longer I will need all the input you guys got. Thanks in advance.

That looks really good, the whole thing is shaping up very nicely.

Are the legs moveable?

And finally are you planning on putting some sort of thigh armor onto the thighs? They seem a bit bare, though the knee guards help alleviate this.

Keep up the great work

This projects so impressive, and it's awesome, but every time I look at it you have all this wonderfully shaped and sculpted plasticard and whatnot, then there's the serial numbers on the PVC pipes on the knees makes me giggle

Keep up the good work - can't wait to see the armament on these things.

No not moveable, it only rotates at the torso. But thats cool enough for me. and as far as hip armor, no, and I am curious as to why so many people have asked me this. I mean, not here, only once here, but IRL all my friends are like "What will the hip armor look like?" There isn't any hip armor on the Reaver, never has been in any of it's incarnations. It does look that skinny and weak, it does actually have that particular weakness as I see it. How many people think there should be armor on the hips? Is this something that I should be putting my own touch on, since it doesn't exist on th FW model? Does the Reaver need it? What are your thoughts, Dakka?

Thanks, Poo, always good to have you drop in and check on my stuff.

@commander Cain, I wanted more rivets, but am sticking to the mantra of as close to the real thing as I can physically get with accuracy and cleanliness. I am failing too much on the cleanliness to start letting the accuracy go, anymore than it already is, and as far as rivets go I have already put on more than the real on has and I am not done putting on all the ones that have to go on........

@medabee, wouldn't be anything worth seeing on the other one. I shelved work on it at a certain point in the build so that I could concentrate on Loyalist looks. Up to right before I built the head they looked quite the same. When this one is done I will begin again to build the Nurgle Twin to the Loyalist but I will be taking it slower and working on the rest of my Chaos army and the lit interior Thunderhawk project basically simultaneously. Whew, I gotta slow down.....

On a personal note, I really like it that many people pass through here on a surf session and go "oh, wow, some one else showing how they are building their FW Reaver" only to realize that it is a scratch. I have had several people say they didn't see the difference til they looked closely or how they just finished or already owned a FW Reaver and that my attention to detail is superb. These are all very humbling remarks and I appreciate them very much. I am adopting the motto "I do not build models, I make them." I think that the difference between the two is steep and stunning and am very proud that all you keep checking in on my work. Thank you.

Now, leave your C&C, suggestions and don't think that I don't read them or take them into account. See below:

I made a resin cast of the pictured panels and then cut them all the hell to make the cockpit panels for the head. Someone, I can't remember who, mentioned that the panels needed to be more 3D like the SM Rhino. So I made the Rhinos and Land raiders panels in bulk. LOL, you guys have the greatest ideas. (it looks better in person, I assure you.)
