Has anyone tried him? I know that warbikers are suboptimal, but to take him as an 180 point tank hunter... Think about it:

He has 3 wounds...
He has T5(6) so he takes a wound from a lascannon...
He has skilled rider (He is an IC) so he can drive through or into terrain....
He has 4 S8 shots that can be shot even if he turboboost...
He has a powerklaw...
He has a 4+ cover save or a 3+ cover save when he turboboost...

The only problem I see is that he takes up an HQ slot... (I would have loved him as an upgrade for warbikers or a stand alone Fast attack like Marbo)

Take him as a tank hunter, largely ignore his ability to add bikers as Troops. Yep, you've got it. Why are you worried about your HQ slots as Orks? Big Mek with KFF if you're running a mech list along side him, but I don't really like Nobs or Meganobs so he's better than a Warboss.

I've used him in a battle before, he was pretty decent at killing tanks. With a fast list built around him I think he'd be pretty damn good, but if not there are other HQs that would probably serve better and be less expensive. But y'know YMMV, give him a shot, maybe you'd have more luck than me.

He's great, and don't underestimate his Warbiker army, they work fine. You just have to run the army properly. I'd suggest not taking too many Bikers, take around 20 and use the rest of your points for support.

I was thinking about using him as a 180 point tank hunter in my BW list... I can easily hide him behind the large vehicles...

Wazdakka is really good and effectiv but not to use him in a biker spam list is a bad idea. Ive seen this character as a tank hunter many times and he hardly ever makes up for his cost and is not effective at taking down vehicles that have armour 14.

no S10 and not being able to take nobz as troops with him kills him for me. I wouldn't say he's bad or anything, in fact, I'd imagine he can be quite good. He'd never find a place in one of my lists though.

While he has no S10 he can terrorize your opponent's armor from anywhere, 24" turboboost + 24 Dakka Kannons...

I can only imagine how much fire he will draw from your opponent given he is less then 200 points...

I use him in this list as a tank hunter:
http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/329582.page

So far I have mixed feelings about him.. The list is also a fun list and not very competitive. He has great survivability at range but is only a mediocre threat. 4 shots are still only BS 2 and after hitting you still need a 4 on the dice to penetrate a rhino..
Close up he can wreck most tanks but can't take on transports or LR. The fact that most people play tanks with stuff in them means he looses alot of his potential.
Would have been better aroun 140-150 points or the same cost in a different slot.... A warboss for about 60 points cheaper gets an invunerable, 5 attacks, STR 10 and makes nobz troops. Wazdakka just gets some fancy shooting :/
