I would watch it.... But we have Virgin instead of Sky (We had Sky, but internet was really really poor, and in windy/rainy conditions the TV reception was bad because of some trees, Sky had no solution, but 1-2 years with Virgin, no such problems with TV reception or Internet), so don't get Sky Atlantic.....
I will watch it one day though.

Well there are some certain websites where you can watch it online. I'm not really sure of the policy on Dakka. Can we link websites that illegally stream stuff?
It's not illegal to watch it, it's just illegal for the website to put the stuff up from what I've gathered.

Careful with the spoilers. I knew the golden head was coming, but I didn't know it was the latest episode.
As for the show, one of the best book to television transitions I have ever seen. I only wish The Legend of the Seeker would have been done the same way. Hopefully the Wheel of Time series will get a Game of Thrones treatment.
For anyone who is unable to watch the show, I bet it will be on February 2012. by August.
The series finale of True Blood season 3 aired on September 12, 2010. The release for that DVD set is May 31st 2011. Going by these dates, the first season of Game of Thrones will probably be released by the end of February 2012.

It was a pretty big shock in the books too. Go ahead and brace yourself. The series is going to have a lot more shocks with most of them being even more shocking!

Quite funny he's now Boromir, despite being in many Films and TV shows....
If he should be known as any character, it should be Sharpe anyway shouldn't it?

I have thoroughly enjoyed it. My only complaint is that an hour a week is simply not enough...
I have HBO On Demand, so when the whole series is over, I may take an entire Saturday and watch them all, back to back.
I am curious though if there might be some changes on the last episode. Supposedly that is the only one that Martin was actively involved in as a writer, instead of just as a consultant.

As always, it cant compare with the book once you have read it, but they have done a grand job so far, I like the added fights!
They always do that in Hollywood, i guess they (quite rightly!) assume that the public wanna see the hero kick some ass!
Watchmen was the same, remember the added fights Rorsc vs the police, or Comedian vs Oz? They were cool..
I always thought that Eddard should have mixed it up a bit more, I mean, I know he isnt as cool as his big brother apparently was, but hes a mean fething bloke, he should kick some more ass, so i was glad to see him actually swinging his sword at Jaime and giving him a left hook instead of just..well.. falling off a horse.
So, they cant fit even half of it in, but they have done a sterling job nonetheless. Im very pleased with it so far.

didn't catcht he latest episode but I've been watching it.. I dunno, I guess I was expecting more fantasy kinda stuff, but instead it just seems like it's about a bunch of guys with swords that hate each other, and a midget who's smarter than everyone else.

Been obsessively watching every week... have read all the books and am loving the show. There are only a few things I would quibble with, and of course it is painful that some of the information of necessity must be cut.
I can't wait to get the DVDs. That in fact is the only thing that is really killing me... can you imagine the buildup of watching them all back to back? Spreading it out over so many weeks makes it lose momentum a bit for me.

Honestly, I don't care for their John Snow, and Arya is too 'pretty'. Can you see people calling her Arya Horseface? Also, I dislike their representation of the Eyrie. Other than that, I likes much much.

It is a struggle, but keep reading. The same thing happened to me with the first book. It also happened to me when I tried reading The Eye of the World by Robert Jorden. I swear I read the first hundred pages probably six times before I actually made it to the good part that got the book going.

the last episode was good, but I hate to sound like a baby but the hot girl on girl action was a bit too much.. Dunno if that was in the book and I don't care really.. guess I'm just sick of HBOobies in every show they make, just because they can. I have no idea what that scene was really supposed to be about, cuz that guy was telling a story that sounded like it was supposed to have a point.. but all I cared about was the 2 gals gettin busy.
