Hahha fair enough.
Well, I like them, and they are there to stay, as they ae bonded onto the tank using plastic to plastic glue.
I guess it is really a you like or dont like them, thing.
I feel they make the Predators look are mean, and menacing. I'll try and pull it off with the paint job
I wanted a way to make them look very different to my Blood Ravens.
And also since the Blood Angels are a much older chapter, I wanted them look like Heresy era relics.
Appreciate the comments as always!
I also use it to represent the 'heavy army' upgrade.

I like the rivets. They look a whole lot more sturdy than standard Predators. They're like iron studds in leather armor.
Nipple tanks to go with your Sanguinary Guard army.. lol.

I agree, although MAYBE a few too many, I think the rivets look good and really suit the 40K universe. Good Job RolePlayer!

Ooh, yeah, that's kinda unfortunate. Good that you like the rivets, though. Too bad that there are so many and I'm sure they were hard to attach, and would be also hard to remove. In some places, they just don't make any sense. Rivets are supposed to accomplish the same thing as welding. You can see how many of them wouldn't make sense.
Still, if you like them, more power to you.

I gotta say I'm actually digging the rivets too. Give a studded armour effect. I think it also adds an element of age to the appearance, tell me though did you make them or buy them?

Hey all.
Roleplayer checking back in. I have a few photos for you today!.
First up, something for you Alpharius.
Spent the last 2 days building up some of my Alpha Legion once again.
I have added this Land Raider to the Black Crusade.
And a new Lord emerges, to challenge fate, and lead his brethern into battle!
Here is the rest of my /OLD/ Alpha Legion models, I painted in 2006 and won Perth conflict with.
My Raptors.
And two of my old Chosen.
Now the rest of these models were painted in early 2007, just before I left for Japan.
Some Guardians lead by a warlock.
And some Howling Banshees, lead by an Exarch.
Finally, 2 Grey Knights i painted just before leaving.
Thanks for reading

I play with the ambiguity too, Alpharius.
I imagine however that some parts of the legion have simply become more corrupt and touched by chaos than others. My Lord, while stille loyal to the legion as whole, is a servant of Chaos.

Thanks Roleplayer... that gives me hope for MY future as a painter & modeler!
That's a nice job on the Calgar fig BTW... I wish I'd have taken a good look at that one before trying to help my son paint his... it would have given us a better strategy to approach his figure with that what we tried on our own.

cool to see the progress question though(not trying to start anything so no one start in on this) didn't you say early on in this plog that the blood ravens were your first time out at painting? Either way all good stuff not so much a fan of the gk but hey not everything is going to be liked by everyone.

Listen, my children, as I pass onto you the truth behind Willy Wonka and his factory. For every wonka bar ever created in existance, Mr. Wonka sacraficed a single Oompa Loompa to the god of chocolate, Hearshys. Then, he drank the blood of the fallen orange men because he fed them a constant supply of sugary chocolate so they all became diabetic and had creamy, sweet-tasting blood that willy could put into each and every Wonka bar. That is the REAL story behind willy wonka's Slaughter House! |

Well, firstly, theres a page dedicated to that some pages back. (The first army thing).
Secondly, I painted that grey knight before I knew a anything about shading, or washes (the GW washes didnt exist at the time, either).
If I go back to fix them up, i'll wash them with badab black, and highlight him

Looking Great as ever RolePlayer, I think the Land Raider looks nice so far, as someone has said, characterful but not too busy. And I love the Alpha Legion so I'll be a fan either way!
I love the time-line, you can see how it's inspired others and how massively you've improved!
Completely agree with Slann, enter Golden Daemon!

Hey all.
I am about halfway through assembling the last 3 squads of my sanguinary guard.
Since I will be fielding 6 squads, that is all 30 the codex says exists in the Blood Angels.
Thus, one will have to be Sepharan, the leader of the Sanguinary Guard (although rules wise he is no different.)
How is this for a model that stands out a bit from the rest? Suggestions, thoughts?
Sepharan, Exalted Herald of Sanguinius, Bane of Khorne.

I think it looks really nice! Obviously, your models aren't quite the same without some stupidly good painting however!
But yes, I think it looks really nice, although maybe a Bezerker head would work better?
Also, I don't know what you intended for his base, but obviously a more detailed one would help him stand out IMHO.
Makes me wonder what you're going to do with Dante tbh...
