Well they're certainly drawing attention to infinity, don't know if this is related enough but the standard figures, are they one piece casts or are they something a little more easily customisable (in multiple parts for assembly). I was kind of interested in getting at least a few figures after I saw some of the scenery etc on antenocitis workshop, this might just have been the push I needed!

Very few of the Infinity models come in one piece. Of the humanoid models, you'll usually find both arms are separate pieces, slung weapons are also usually thus, and in some cases, heads are separate too.

Thank you for the reply, what's the general view on conversions, or are the groups small enough that it doesn't really warrant doing them unless you're desperate to look completely different to any other army?

This thread should answer your question. Link

Spoiler:
Regarding the rules of the contest, it seems that the entries are referred to as both "Models" and "Model" in two separate instances.

What is the consensus on whether more than one model is allowed as an entry so long as it all fits in the 800x600 image?

EDIT: Nevermind, yakface clarified everything.

One model it is.

Don't let on as to what your entry is but:
How are everyones entries coming along?

I've been ill so i haven't done much but i had some paint delivered from the states. Sadly the wrong thing was delivered but the gentleman has very kindly sent a priority mail replacement within hours of receiving my email. He also through in an extra as way of apology and told me to keep the ones i received in error.
All in all it was very good customer service and i'll be buying from them again! Also, i'm feeling a bit more like my old self so hopefully i can get back to my entry and chopping up models for my blogs.

Likewise. I'm making some good effort on the painting department, but it is a long process.

I'm happy with the look so far, and I can't wait to see what everyone else puts out.

I'm still in the modelling stages. As I waffled about in the "Conversions" thread, I like to make all my models unique. And I think I've found something nicely different to do, so it's taking a while.

Nice to see you that most of you are progressing nicely. It's even nicer to see i'm not the only one fretting over delays!

Think i'm going to bash out the building and maybe converting tonight. Fingers crossed.

Mine's coming along pretty good, one of my better works I think. But might be too simple.
Also, I have no idea what quality the competitors hold, so I have no idea what to expect from my level of painting... And that's bothering me
Also waiting for basing supplies I ordered from Maelstrom three weeks ago.

I'm sure it's going to look great CF, there are some great painters here and i'm sure the amazing mini's will draw more out of the woodwork. Because of that i've resigned my self to losing with dignity .

Tbh i'm pretty just psyched it's happening and i get to take part plus it gave me an excuse to get my Nomads started off a little early.

No, we're each limited to one entry and you have to have a photograph of them in an undercoated state with a date after the competition start date

Got mine undercoated just before the rain

It really is feeling like there will be more entries than the previous Duel comp - it will be very interesting to see everyone's efforts!

Good luck everyone!

I'm still at work in the middle of nowhere Canada. Should be back in the states next week for a sweet 19 days off and ordered some stuff online that should be waiting for me when I get home. I'll be painting full time! That is, between sessions of skyrim

Well, my model is almost finished - pretty much finished the base and just need to finish painting the arms (and also re-glue the arms as they fell off when I stuck the model to the base ).
