OP should be updated to this point.

This is the final weekend of the comp for the year. Get that paint splashed around people! There is normally a last second rush, but a lot of you are still outstanding with your entries. And you need to finish.

As always if you need a little extra time, let me know.

Lots of great entries coming in already. As usual, deadline is approaching fast and I've still got a lot to do. Basecoats and shading are at least done

It's going to be a bust Sunday

Updated pics of my Death Knight, not sure the larger photos do it any favours but the neutral background definitely brings out the colours better. Still very pleased with it overall, and these larger pieces are so fun to do.

Some more great entries! I cut this one rather fine compared to last month but I'm pleased to complete more than one mini for the challenge this month. Overall I'm fairly pleased with the warband although given more time I'd say I could improve a few details. I've spoilered larger photos again so Nev, if you'd kindly use the big images for voting that'd much appreciated!

And one last photo of the whole team. Too many models to count as an entry for the challenge, but I couldn't fit all the alternate poses into the five-model limitation. Feel free to ignore this one for voting:

Completed an entry for the monthly challenge. First time in a while. I should take some better photos for the comp, but not sure I'll get that done by tomorrow.

The cars are for Gaslands, for a team with the sponsor Miyazaki, who came up through the underground Tokyo street racing scene. Miyazaki drivers are known for their daring and precision behind the wheel. Also, she has a sponsor perk called "Showing Off".
Seems to fit the theme pretty nicely.

Not the most outstanding paint job ever, but the white and the yellow were a bit of a pain in the and I've now officially broken my 2021 slump. I've started several projects and minis this year, but these are the first ones "finished". I'd like to do some detail and lettering on them somewhere, but probably not going to happen. At least not before the end of February.
So, without further ado, here they are: (Proof pic at the end)

Okay so I know I usually post WIP photos here but I've been really keeping them for my instagram lately. I finally finished today and I definitely could have used another week and still gotten things finer tuned. This is what happens when I showcase a model for a friend at the same time as here so I may end up doing more D&D models for the future entries assuming they meet the criteria. *crosses fingers* Anyways, take a look!

@joshinjapan I took that inspiration and jumped into the NMM. And while we're here, I love your pink models!!!

Love that shield, Tyranid Horde!

Also, great work as always Freya - your SW force must look the bomb these days!

I actually started this guy yesterday but forgot to post a proof after picking my jaw up from maxwin's entry!

Snagged the camera from my wife, but need to experiment a bit more in the future, not entirely happy, but much easier for shots than the phone camera. Here are my final pics:

@DJJazzyJeff - Your proof pic looks unrelated to your entry. Unless you scratch built those cars using darts and golf cleats. In which case, wow! I trust that you did everything in the month, so not a huge deal.

@Chris56 - What is that you are painting? I don’t recognize it to give a title to your entry.

@ Arakasi (and everyone else) I’ll bump the deadline back 24 hours. Gives everyone an extra day to polish things up and get those final pics in. I’ll probably formally close it Tuesday morning, because I’m far too old to stay up until midnight just to wrap this up. As I’ve been more diligent this month keeping the OP updated, the vote should take less time to finish. Barring the usual onslaught on last second entries...

OP should be updated to this point.

Amazing entries popping up as usual!

@maxwin: that chrome effect is ace! He's really rokkin'!

@Tyranid Horde: Really liking the colors on your entry. Not your usual set of minis, but I love them!

Sorry for not posting my proof picture earlier.
Took me a while to figure out what to paint, as I was too keen on doing more converted Krieg sentinels (similar as my last month's entry).
When I was done with them, I did not have much time left. Decided to clear my backlog a bit and paint some Meganobz that have been waiting for their turn for a few years.

Finished pictures. Quick and dirty, just wanted them done for the tabletop and to keep up the streak.

One more year of Dakka challenge is behind us and with great entries to boot. Well done everybody.

My final mini of the season, very nice sculpt. I had quite fun painting her except the golden trim...

Bloody hell Modock, that is one of the best pieces you've ever dome! Absolutely stunning, I love the hue of the NMM gold. Phenomenal texture work too.

Love those Preds, Jamie. Wonderful use of colour.

Holy macaroni....trust me to be posting my junk after modock...
Seriously - great work modock. I've seen the promo version of that sculpt and I reckon yours is better. Great stuff.
I agree that there is some great work coming in all over the place - I love the gasland cars (I've done a few of those myself for fun) and the predators. Well done all round.

Here is my woefully inadequate entry!

Sorry Nev - I should have given it a title in the proof. He is the leader of the 'Untamed Beasts' warband from the original boxset.

I have tried to give him a 'first nations' kind of feel, using darker skin tones and a kind of Australian Indigenous art style to the cape. I'm happy with the idea but probably needed more time on the execution. I'm also pretty happy with the dark skin as this is the first time I have tried it. I think I am going to experiment with this more in future.
Anyhow, here he is.

Thank you Paradigm, lifeafter and Chris...I'm happy how she turned out. I would say oils pushed my painting a step further.
I gotta say the overall quality of entries this year is nuts. People improved their painting skills a lot which is alway great to see.

And on that note, good time to mention that Nevelon has set up a retrospective thread for this year, so head over there and share your thoughts on how the last 12 rounds have gone for you. Given the notably high quality of so many entries in recent months, it should be quite the thread once a few folks hop in with their entries.
